BIOGRAPHY

Lucas is the fourth child of seven siblings, making him quite literally the middle child. He grew up as a bit of the black sheep of the family, never quite as talented as his siblings older than him, and being neglected in favor of the younger siblings who required more attention.
In elementary school, Lucas makes his first friend, Mikki Nakayama-Reed. Similar to himself, Mikki has never felt like she fit in anywhere, and the two instantly found their place alongside each other. Mikki would reveal her ability to speak to ghosts, and Lucas, despite never having solid proof, took her word on it. How cool was a friend who could speak to ghosts? Super fucking cool.
In 6th grade, Lucas picked up his first camera, recording whenever he could. He'd start editing his clips together and posting them on his youtube channel. At first they were relatively all over the place, resembling vlogs of his life. In high school, he started adding more storytelling to his movies, but still keeping that homemade feel. Alongside his more polished films, he'd go 'ghost-hunting' with Mikki, trying to capture ghost footage on tape. They've caught a few orbs here or there, but nothing too special. Mikki swears they're proof, though, and Lucas believes them.

Lucas got accepted into film school, and his dream school at that. He aspired to be a director one day and make his own movies. He even won some awards for his high school films, though his parents couldn't be bothered to show up to view them.

AFTERLIFE

Lucas now keeps Mikki company as her GGBF (Gay Ghost Best Friend) while he figures out what it is that's keeping him on earth, and how he died. He spends most of his time hovering around her, since he has nothing else to do and no one else to talk to. Mikki promised him she'd help him figure out his last wish stuff, but with college, it tends to come as an afterthought.

Being a ghost is hard, Lucas has learned. Apparently you don't even get cool ghost powers as soon as you die. It's something that comes with time. He can't even pick anything up, or throw shit, or make the lights flicker. How is he supposed to have fun and pull ghost pranks if he can't even do something as simple as make lights flicker? At least it gives him something to work towards, he supposes.

• Lucas is Japanese, but insanely uncultured. This kid didn't know how to use chopsticks until he was a teenager. His family's been pretty Americanized and he's been left with the scraps of knowledge passed down by his already pretty absent parents.
• Casey only lets those close to him call him that. The nickname comes from the last three letters of his name.
• Casey loves cats but has never owned one. Having 7 kids in the house was too much to add a cat onto it.
• Lucas' youtube channel had 286 subscribers before he died.
• He's an introvert who really badly wants to be an extrovert. But he was already bad at talking to people before he died, and that loss of communication with the living has only made things worse.
• He's an INFP 4w3.
• Relishes in his ghostly ability to not have to do anything and having no responsibilities, but he does miss his hobbies.

MIKKI

Mikki is Lucas' best friend, and they've been there for each other since childhood. When Lucas died, Mikki's ability really came in handy. He's grateful he at least still gets to have them.

RYUJI

Lucas is Ryuji's biggest hater.

EVE

Eve and Lucas don't know each other too well due to Lucas being unable to properly interact with her. But he loves the thrill of eavesdropping on Eve and Mikki's every conversation.
