Profile

Has been looking for Tarret for at least 6 months

Bosco Eberoth grew up in Zefrim, like Tarret, but on the less well-off side of town. His mum was an apothecary (not a very good one, made potions out of whatever she could find in exchange for a few coins), and his dad owned a small wood-shop, mostly making household items but occasionally doing detail work on shields and weaponry. Bosco grew up with an interest in his dad’s work, sometimes stealing tools from the workshop for his own projects (Jax always noticed and made him return it), and his dad started teaching him to one day work with him.

When Bosco was around 15, his mum got sick, and his dad stopped working to look after her. Jax had already been doing small jobs for the nobles in town just for a bit of extra income, but now he started being away from home for longer periods of time, trying to bring in more money since he was suddenly the only earner. Bosco often tried to get him to let him help, but Jax always refused, saying he was too young and shouldn’t need to get involved. Their mum died a few months after getting sick, and their dad also went soon after, from a combination of grief and neglecting his health.

After this, Jax took on full responsibility over Bosco, still refusing to let him help, so Bosco was alone most days while Jax was out working for the nobles. Being unsupervised and easily impressionable, Bosco started falling in with the wrong crowd, making “friends” with people who pressured him into committing petty crimes and bullying others. This continued until Jax left for work one morning, and never came home.

Bosco waited almost a week before deciding to do anything, since Jax was more than capable and had been away for a couple days at a time before, but finally left the house and headed to the wealthy side of town to look for him. He asked practically every person he saw, but they all claimed to not know of Jax, or just completely ignored him, and eventually he was told to stop and sent away by guards.

On his way out of the district, he (literally) ran into Evinyr Holden, and asked him if he’d seen his brother, to which Holden responded that he knew of Jax, but hadn’t seen him recently. As this was the first glimmer of hope Bosco had gotten in a while, he started following Holden and asking more questions, until he snapped and verbally threatened him. Bosco explained through tears that he didn’t really have anywhere to go, and Holden took pity on him and said he could stay for a couple days until he found somewhere to go permanently. They both forgot about this original arrangement, and Bosco ended up moving in with him.

Full Trauma List: (mentions abuse)

    • fairly average childhood, aside from a few money struggles, until parents died when he was 15
    • Jax disappeared a few months after, Bosco left home to look for him and didn't want to go back without him
    • imprinted on Evynir Holden and ended up staying with him, was encouraged to/praised for stealing
    • started getting more involved in the real crime shit after introducing Tarret to Holden
    • developed imposter syndrome after repeatedly seeing everyone around him develop skills and fight for respect, while he got respect from Holden without even trying (unsure if Holden knew about this and made it worse on purpose or not)
    • also survivors guilt from his family dying and Tarret being singled out with the abuse
    • was present for a lot of Tarret's abuse, and Holden occasionally turned on him for a second if he tried to intervene
    • Tarret disappeared without warning (unsure if he knows the exact reasons why), brought up trauma from when Jax disappeared

  • Stole banana from market as a kid and proceeded to make inappropriate jokes about the shape, ate it without peeling and decided that he likes the crunch
