About
Christine is an avid gambler who has a sixth sense for locating wealthy targets. With just a glance, she can instinctively feel someone's affluence, regardless of that person's outward appearance. After losing a bet to Urla, a captain of the Amestrian guard, Christine was forced into working for the Amestrians until her debt was paid off - that is, until a train explosion provided her a convenient opportunity to escape.
Christine will play just about any game as long as there's enough money on the line, even to her detriment. Does she cheat when she gambles? She'll never tell.

A SUBTLE MANIPULATOR & SLY TRICKSTER
Christine is reserved, only speaking when needed, although when she does open her mouth, it's often to extort someone for information or dish out sick burns. She prefers not to attract attention and has a strong sense of self-preservation, often hiding or escaping in dangerous situations. When the going gets rough, she is willing to run and let her comrades take the fall.

Cutting Cards
Your skill with cards is mesmerizing. While you perform a card trick, you may alter a memory, implant suggestion or sow a doubt. You may use your playing cards as dangerous throwing weapons.
Heart of the Cards
When you accept Position and Effect given by the GM for a roll as is and just let the dice decide, and you don't push yourself or accept assistance from a teammate (you can still accept a Devil's Bargain), clear 1 Stress.
Money Talks
Your bribes are especially enticing. Gain +1d and improved position when you attempt to bribe someone with 1 coin. You may spend 1 coin to gain +1d on any resistance roll.
Miss Fortune
Some call you lucky but truth to be told, bad things just happens to folks who try to mess with you. Spend 1 Stress to cause a minor accident (a jammed gun) or 2 for a major one (an exploding stick of dynamite). If this move is used during a run, you roll -1d when clearing Stress during downtime.
Luck's Other Name
You are drawn to and now can draw on the forces of fortune. On an action roll, you may choose to re-roll one die in your pool, and you must accept the new result. In order to refresh this ability, you may ask the GM to re-roll a die of their choice for a separate action roll and the player must accept the new result. This can be done for any player’s roll.

Trivia
- Christine is originally from the continent of Ranea, which is continuously at war with Amestrius. Losing a bet to an Amestrian captain and working for their guard was moderately insulting, and Christine even attempted to kill the captain by letting her die in a giant crocodile attack (framing it as an accident, of course).
- The aforementioned Amestrian captain, Urla, fell in love with Christine - a toxic, one-sided infatuation.
- Christine relieves stress by gambling, and even poor outcomes do not discourage her.
Relationships
Niko
Niko is a fellow gambler, although he tends not to push his luck. The two often spend downtime together playing card or dice games. Christine taught Niko gambling strategies, and in return, Niko used his keen hunting skills to detect a tracking device that Urla had planted in one of Christine's coins.
Zachary
Zachary is one of the few people Christine trusts, although she hasn't admitted it freely. She has needed to gamble her life as often as she gambles her coin during her travels, and the apothecarist is always there to patch up her injuries. However, this doesn't mean she is willing to risk her neck to save his.
