Satellia values her friends and family above all else, other than the worship and reverence of the natural goddess Altera, who makes up the world in which they live. Her voice has magical properties which can enchant and charm those who hear her sing. She is a little feral, but generally kind and compassionate unless someone has harmed those she cares about or threatened the balance of nature.

Background

Born to an Archfey mother and a human father, the lesser fey child that was Lunara of The Moon was never properly named by her parents when she came of age. Her mother and father were killed by another Arch Fey of the Caedalyn Forest playing some kind of sick game of politics and of a hunter’s nature. Lunara was instead raised by several willow mothers through the slow aging of her childhood. When she got older, her talent with her studies as a druid of the forest drew the attention of the Lord of The Court of Storms, Alrethix. This Arch Fey took the young Lunara under his guidance to raise and steer her to become a powerful druid. However, the young lesser fey girl couldn’t see the cruelty of his true intentions, nor did she learn about them for years later. After a chance of fate she met a Dust Daemon named Theran Xygen, who she traveled with in order to learn of the world as instructed by her mentor. While away she grew close to the Daemon, making him a promise that changed her life: Even if he forgot her she would never forget him. She was called back to the forest after a turn of Events, and Alrethix revealed the reason behind his seeming compassionate act. He wished to turn her into an Avatar of the Goddess Lunara, for whom she was named. The process erased Lunara’s memories and left her a shell of her former self. Years later, she met with Theran again in a temple to Everentia, Goddess of Mercy, on the outskirts of the Outlands on her way to perform a task for her host and Goddess. Overcome with emotion at the binding words of her promise broken, she wept, trying desperately to remember the man she had forgotten. He gave her his journal to remind her of him, therefore giving up his own memories of her in the process. And with that, a miracle occurred. Everentia, moved by the act of selfless love in her own temple, granted Lunara a Mercy. She regained her memories of Theran and her life before, the tie between herself and the Goddess Lunara severed, and her freedom restored to her. But no Mercy of Everentia is ever granted without repercussions from the twin Goddess of Fate. Fate is cruel. She severed Lunara’s tie to the forest and stripped her of her name - a crushing and life altering change for a fey of any degree. Without a name or a tie to hear the forest she was raised in, she traveled into the desert of the Outlands in order to hold onto the friend she still had in him.

In The Desert and The Jungle

In the Desert, The nameless Fey girl had to learn an entirely different way of life. She relied heavily on her friend and companion to educate her in how to survive in a completely different environment. But she learned how to live there, and she grew closer to Theran who she began to see as the brother she never had. While living together with him she expressed to him that she no longer had a name. And after he called her an idiot, he gave her a new name. Theran named her Satellia, after the Guiding Star. Always there and always showing him the way to go. Satellia, moved by the name he chose, decided at that moment to always be there for Theran when he needed her. She told him her true name - the single most trusting act she could do so that he could call for her no matter how far apart they were. Theran later went to kill Alrethix in a long and magically charged battle to prevent him from ever harming Satellia again. They spent years living in an abandoned library and temple to Aether, the God of Knowledge and Magic, studying to learn of a way to cure Theran’s limited memory. Their search led them to the Jungle of the Southern Continent, to look for an Ancient Dragon who could tell Theran his true name in order to gain more magical power. It took them months by boat to reach their destination. They went searching farther south, into the thick of the jungle where they encountered Araeson, a Sun Elf Warrior in service to the Storm Lord. He took them back to his village and traveled with them to keep an eye on the outsiders and to see if they would actually find the ancient dragon in question. After weeks of traveling together with the warrior, Satellia became fast friends with Araeson and Theran started to fall in love with him. But eventually something strange happened, Theran started seeing things that they did not. And soon it was revealed that Theran was under assault from a Nightmare from the Dreamscape. The search for the ancient dragon only became all the more desperate and her best friend started losing the fight and starting to become controlled by the Nightmare. With the help of Tao, Theran’s newly manifested Familiar, and many others they eventually found the dragon and were able to use Theran’s true name to seal the Nightmare alone in the Dreamscape by performing a ritual devised by The Storm Lord - Quiquetzal, Demigod son of Nimbus, Goddess of Rain, to transform him from a Daemon into a Fey, much like Satellia herself. Once her friend was safe from harm, his memory problem solved, and the Nightmare sealed away he told her his true name - and from then on they have been together as friends without anymore world-ending dangers.

Afterstory

Satellia, Theran, and Araeson returned to the continent of Earliloth and back to the Caedalyn Forest, where Theran took his place in Caedalyn’s Court, filling a space left in the wake of his battle with Alrethix years before. Satellia became her Arch Druid despite no longer being able to form a connection with the forest the same way that every other creature and person there could. The Storm Lord became Lord of the Court of Storms to extend his power in his endless quest to grow stronger. Theran and Satellia work closely on a daily basis, overcoming threats to the Forest and simplying being close as friends, and Araeson who is now Theran's husband. They still have some small challenged ahead of them, but they will always remain together in this life and the next, and their friendship will continue for centuries to come.
