From the noble house of spring, sent on an expedition down the world tree Euryale acts as a representative for the house with the longest history of serving the divine empress. While one might wonder why some nobody who married their way into a branch family got sent down on something of a sacred mission with an ages old family heirloom, the answer becomes more clear when you realize she's not the type who many would miss if she comes home in multiple pieces.

A merchants daughter who fell in love with a noble from the house of spring named Aconite. Soon after the two wed Aconite tragically passed away, leaving their estate and all their duties to Euryale as opposed to their own sibling, Larkspur. While Aconite had always been the sickly type and wasn't expected to live too long, rumors still abound that Euryale had something to do with their death, not helped by Euryale's disturbingly passive acceptance of the scorn and accusations thrown at her.

The reality of the situation is that Euryale did in fact kill her spouse......But only because they asked her to. The two's relationship has always been one of mutual parasitism. Aconite wanted a way to rebel and piss off their family, Euryale wanted the financial security and status that came with a noble title, so the two played at being lovers until at some point, the feelings became genuine. Aconite's sorrowful demeanor, the lonely soul that actively sought out Euryale's company even when it wasn't to parade her around as some kind of statement, the fact that there was a noble who seemed invested about changing the way commoners were seen by their household but was held back by a mixture of illness and timidity.....These things all drew Euryale to Aconite as a person and not just a means to an end. At some point, Euryale can't tell when exactly, her priority shifted to trying to make them happy. And so, when Aconite, in a pitiful but sickeningly sweet voice, asks Euryale to end their suffering she complies.

When dawn breaks and Euryale holds Aconite's deceased body she knows that this is not what she wanted.

Gets along fairly well with her teammates, particularly seems fond of strelitzia after having bonded over experiencing Strigy's poor excuse for tea. Also likes the gruff attitude of her alter Vyes, even if Euryale thinks it can be a bit too rude at times. Respects Silva's directness and skill, and while she certainly doesn't hate it Strigy often leaves her perplexed due to the eccentricities (to put it incredibly lightly) they have as one who hails from the House of Winter. Rightly so, all her teammates are opposed to murder, she wonders how they'll see her when they find out what she's done.

Has two sisters, Medusa and Stheno, both of whom she's very close with. Euryale is the middle child.

As the events of the campaign progress, Euryale has gotten a glimpse of Aconite once more, through the hazy and grainy filter of her mechanized chassis. A mysterious autonomous mech named "Gorgon" who has assisted from the shadows every so often seems to be acting on Aconite's will. As it turns out Gorgon was an NHP (non-human person) acting as a replica of Aconite's memories, created shortly before the events of the campaign with the help of his friend, Blessings, in an attempt to find a way of extending his life. The process cannot be completed without a living brain to process and interpret the memories, not to mention the fact it involved the use of "heretical" technology, and so Gorgon was set to roam world tree as the expedition was carried out under the explicit instructions to protect Euryale and Blessings both. When Aconite passed, Blessings blamed Euryale (rightly so, even if she wasn't aware Euryale only did it because she was asked to) and sought vengeance. The party's second encounter with Blessing's ends in her defeat as Euryale attempts to get at the casket hosting Gorgon, thinking it a ticket to seeing her beloved once more. For whatever reason, as Euryale hauls the casket back to her mech, her teammate Strigy points their nailgun (a mech-scale weapon) at her and accidentally or not, it fires, killing her as she shields the casket with her body.

Euryale wakes in a kind of purgatory, joined by Blessings. They discuss what a shame it'd be for Aconite's memory to perish with them, after all, there is a willing sacrifice right next to Gorgon's casket. A deal is made and a swarm of nanomachines descend on Euryale's cockpit. When next she opens her eyes, it won't be her anymore.

Trivia

CV joelle for those sweet marchen jokes.

While disinterested in most of the actual processes in engineering she makes sure to take good care of her Deaths head. Ends up good being good enough at it to do field maintenance, as in, she's fiddling with her mech and fixing it up mid battle.

Plays a variety of instruments, violin, the piano, the flute, the harp, and harmonica

Absolute champ at haggling prices down.

this bitch has pink hair, heterochromia, her family sold her to one direction and you all have to live with that.
