Having been friends for a while, Petunia cares about Verena. However, now with Verena reering her head towards her place of work, Petunia is terrified and angry at the same time, but she can't bring herself to hate Verena. Petunia is trying desperately to make it harder for Verena to pursue this story, actively helping in putting up barriers to keep her away. It's the only thing she knows she can do.

Petunia is well aware of Verena's feelings for her, she just refuses to believe it's true. Besides, what make's Petunia worth it anyways? Petunia makes sure to always pick up her calls and text her back, making sure Verena nearly really feels alone. That's what you're supposed to do right? Give them what they want? It's Petunia's purpose isnt it?

“Ah, yeah. Verena is a very good friend of mine, though I am concerned for her. What do you expect with an epithet like that? I can’t tell half the time if she’s just absorbed in her work or it’s some sort of way to satiate her pain. Some sort of danger or excitement that makes her happy or that she really just needs that money. I don’t know if it’s the people I work with or what but… I admit I’m paranoid now. I feel like I see her eye in places it shouldn't be. Am I afraid of her or am I afraid for her.”

Petunia upon meeting Ray, immediately did not like him. He's annoying, rude and a huge egotistical prick. They're each others antitheses. And he doesn't like her either, that much is incredibly clear to her. The two constantly disagree and even get into altercations. It's surprisingly a common occurance.

Despite the rough start, they have learned how to work along side each other, seeing as they do have to see each other just about every single day. They still fight from time to time but it's certianly gotten a lot better. Petunia even runs a Stardew farm with him and two other co-workers. Petunia knows that Ray is an absolute monster of a human being but she also has seen some more of his vulnerable moments. Any time he rambles on and she acts disinterested, she's genuniely paying attention and taking mental note of the kind of person he is. And that person is deeply hurt and traumatized, whether he'll admit it or not. She isn't trying to excuse his horrible actions but she is trying to encourage a better person out of him. Petunia also doesn't take shit from him.

"Ray is the most annoyingly complex human I've ever met. I feel like I'm the only one who notices how troubled and yet knows how truly irritating he is. He's experienced how it feels to be severed in half and Yet. You are the most misogynistic man I've ever met. He gets away with everything too. hr thinks I'm lying and doesn't do anything abou the reports I write. We fight constantly and I'm pretty sure people think I'm doing it on purpose. Sigh... what... what am I supposed to even say at this point. I just... What a pair of broken shards of glass we are. I can be angry, I can feel the rage I feel. I am Not Defending a creep... but... whatever forget it. I didn't say anything. It's. getting better. I'm done talking about this."

Petunia and Allison grew up with a 3 year age gap, and did everything together. It was hard to seperate them for Petunia's first day of school.

Despite their closeness, Petunia has always harbored jealousy. Allison's epithet manifested before Petunia's, Allison couldn't even hear plants meaning it was always quieter for her. Petunia always thought her sister was better than her and Petunia's own epithet manifesting and taking control of her life only made that clearer to her. Nevertheless, Petunia and Allison were always best friends. And Allison did her best to help Petunia keep her epithet under control.

This mutual love ended rather miserably. Petunia had blocked all contact not long after starting to work at Dynamic Details, completely avoiding her sister at all costs. Eventually, Allison had enough and went directly to Petunia's house to check on her, seeing the messy state it was in and how tired Petunia looked. After poking around and demanding answers, Allison stepped into Petunia's dining room, seeing the massive amount of plants covering it and an unusal Golden-Toothed Aloe, breathing fire. Allison's fears were right; Petunia's epithet was spiraling out of control again. And this this time it was bad.

Petunia scared Allison out of her home, slowly approaching her to begin chasing her, ready to strike. Allison ran out and never looked back.
