His hair is an orangey-auburn. He's white but often has a tan so his skintone can vary, but will generally be light. Shirt: white. Loincloth: animal print (dealer's choice). Belt: Brown. Boots: Brown. Pants: Black, or none. His head is kinda long w a tapered square chin.
A time traveler with a tragic past.
As a young man (really the same age that he is now...) he needed a bit of cash, and so he signed up to be a lab rat in some government experiments that were paying decently. These happened to be time machine-related experiments, in the early days of time travel development. During the test, there was a malfunction with the machine. An explosion of energy that should have killed him instead erased him from time and space, leaving him stranded somewhere... else. After a long time spent in the void adapting to his new existence, he's learned how to weave himself in and out of time, making him capable of machineless time travel that causes no paradoxes no matter what he does. The catch? He doesn't really exist. No one he knew before his accident remembers him, so he can never return to his old life. He doesn't age, but he also doesn't grow mentally or emotionally, he has remained fairly stagnant for thousands of years, still grieving the loss of his best friend.
In a relationship with RE, also acts as his main test subject. The progression of their relationship went as follows:
- Johnthaniel has his accident, which results in small anomalies and marks being left all over time and space
- RE Discovers these anomalies, driving him to become a scientist and investigate what might be causing them
- RE is essentially hunting bigfoot, no one else believes the anomalies are connected
- Johnthaniel believes he is being chased by some sort of time police, actively covers his trail
- Their first few meetings are fights or altercations full of miscommunication
- Eventually RE convinces him to be studied, just a little
- This is the first person who has sympathized w Johnthaniel in a long time, only one who actually UNDERSTANDS what is wrong with him, even if he can't relate
- Johnthaniel decides to stick around a while, they become friends
- Eventually they fall for each other
- Eventually, Johnthaniel realizes he will not age, and RE will
- And so sadnesses occur
