But You Can Learn How to Surf
Nick is at his core, a very passionate person. Wether this comes to his music or his friends. It's clear right away when they're interested in something or not. They're also very defensive of their identity and various opinions.
Nick is slightly taller than his peers and has a fairly chubby build. The fat on his body is pretty evenly distrubuted but his stomach is most noticable. His thighs are also a tad chunky and his underarms somewhat soft. There are also some curves in his torso. None of this bothers him personally at present.
Being a hybrid of two different predators, his features would seem off if you only considered one side. The broad nose bridge of a lion, yet the sharp ears of a wolf. A long mane and fluffy tail to match rather than a mere tuft. Large fangs from both parents that may send a shiver up the spine.
Their fur is thick, only thinning out around their face and pawpads. It is made up of varying shades of blue. Small white freckles resembling mini starfields run along their body. Inbetween their bushy eyebrows are thin white hairs.
Nick doesn't really have a consistent sense of style. He's partial to floral prints and slacks but changes up often. A lot of his fits are thrifted from various locations. Many of them patched up with colorful threads and clashing fabrics. If his mane isn't put up in a hair tie, he covers it with a hat. Most often a beanie or a beret, usually in the color black.
Nick has little bits and bobs laying about that he occassionally slips on. Maybe a beaded bracelet or a necklace of shells. Pins of varying subjects he can place on his shirt. Usually he tries to match these to the outfit of the day.

At a first glance, he is quiet and unto himself. This contrasts greatly with his presence on stage and with friends. Find something in common and he'll open up fairly quickly. Just the same he'll speak his mind if you've a narrow one. Nick has no tolerance for anyone who seeks to harm him or "his people". Getting on his bad side could very well end in a hospital visit. That is if you push the issue to its limit.
Fortunately he has plenty of outlets to pour his inner rage into. Namely the band he formed with several of his close friends. Putting a fist around a microphone is argubaly better than putting it in someone's face. Nick also spends plenty of time in and around the boat they all share. The slow lap of the waves against the shore calms his nerves. A little part of him is inherently connected to outdoor activities.
By nature, Nick is a free spirit. They don't seek fame or fortune for their efforts. Instead they would prefer to lead a simple life surrounded by good company. Perhaps with a tall sounding tale thrown in there every once in awhile.

Nick has simple dreams and is pretty close to achieving them. He doesn't really have concrete goals but he does plan ahead. Sometimes he catches himself filled with thoughts of far away places. The ones they've seen in all those travel ads. Perhaps one day they could land on those shores with their friends.
- Nick doesn't like to stay inside all the time writing music. Instead he takes breaks in-between to enjoy the natural world. It's quite easy to break out the poles and fish off the side of the sailboat for example. Dock the vessel and they can go off on a walk along the beach. Otherwise they'll tag along with their friends to whatever they had planned.
- In his down time, he spends a good amount of it reading historical documents. The world that came before is fascinating to him. Especially tracing the lineages of the people around him to prehistoric creatures. Collecting relics of the past is an on and off thing for him. They are quite interesting but he can't let it clutter up.
Benja grew up with two loving parents as an only child. He was routinely spoiled as they had been trying for a long time to have him. The rambunctious pup-cub had a virtual reign over the family's rural property. As soon as he could move on his own, he was climbing trees. Picking and eating the fruits he found to be the most delectable. Also keeping the more primitive critters he found in the branches as temporary pets.
The community he was brought up in was out of the way, but very welcoming. Visitors didn't often stay but some found a place with the villagers. This is how he came to develop a life-long friendship with one of these transplants. A boy about his age who clearly wasn't used to country living. Soon enough Benja was learning him the ropes.

These two share a strong mother and son bond. They call often and support each other through tough times.
These two are quite close as father and son. Nick is a grown man now but still seeks his advice.
These two have a special bond, almost like brothers. Although Pepper is often away now, they can always pick back up again.
These two can be awkward around each other at times. It's obvious from the blushing why.
Maybe a little too blunt at times, but usually for the best. This woman is truly in a class of her own.
Often the one who suggests outrageous plans and drags everyone else along. Benja appreciates her enthusiasim.
They met at an art gallery that Troy owns part of and pretty quickly hit it off. "Business meetings" between them have become fairly commonplace.
