Dutar

Lore- Before Dutar became a Guardian he was a simple Acolyte, until one day an unknown Guardian slaughtered his whole group and forgot to kill him, leaving him alone. Soon, while wandering on his own, he came across a Ghost named Fex still looking for his chosen and after some time they befriended each other, Dutar protecting Fex and Fex giving Dutar company and occasionally helping him. Other Guardians and Ghosts didn't approve of the Hive Acolyte being so friendly and passive to a Ghost, and so a group of Guardians killed Dutar and attempted to kill Fex, but Fex escaped and brought Dutar to Savathûn's throne world, where he resurrected Dutar into a Guardian.

Unfortunately, Dutar and Fex were captured and tortured, but fortunately they did escape on Earth. Dutar, upset and just wanting to appear more friendly and approachable, grinded down and broke off some of his chitin armor to appear softer and also dyed his clothing and painted his chitin with soft colors. Eventually, he met Fossil, and after some fighting Fossil realized he was just a clueless NewLight, and having been around since before the Red War she offered to help him with his Light as a sort of mentor.

Creator notes- Me and my friend tend to joke that he constantly gets stuck on the toilet for ridiculous amounts of time and now it's part of his lore, nobody knows what he's doing in there, whether he's actually stuck on the toilet or picking fights on Twitter, it's a mystery and nobody is brave enough to figure it out. And adding onto lore created through jokes, nobody knows what class he is he dresses like a hunter, acts like a titan, heals like a warlock, and can use different supers(void warlock, arc titan, solar hunter, but nothing else though). Another thing is that he has a rubber duck collection, with a cayde-6 duck and zavala duck being his prized possessions

Design notes(from artfight)- I forgot the hive actually have two toes and drew him with three so I guess he just built different
Edit* after looking at a bunch of pictures of hive to see if I was right or not I am honestly so confused on the amount of toes the hive have, some pics had two toes, some had three, and some had four! I don't know anymore but it's final Dutar has three toes because I do not want to look at or look for pictures of hive feet anymore.
Fun fact: he's missing a lot of chitin because Fex fucked up his rebirth as a guardian and now everytime he dies he's revived without it and has to regrow the missing parts, on his armor he just wears synthetic chitin to protect his regrowing or nonexistent chitin
