- Dancing; Eiji loves dancing and he finds it to be soothing. He mostly delves into ragtime or swing, but he is also always ready to try new genres every time the opportunity arises.

About
Eiji was born into the Akamatsu family, a well known circus family whose performances, Cirque du Le Monde, are known all across Japan and Europe. Very quickly young Eiji found himself under the limelight as a clown, performing occasionally but immediately becoming the favorite of the public. Thusly, he began performing more and more until he became the main star of the show, much to his dismay. When he reached highschool age, he chose to step down from his position only to be scouted by Hope's Peak Academy, where he was enrolled as The Ultimate Clown, title which he hates dearly. Soon enough, he finds himself stuck in a killing game within the school, where he eventually ends up executed for killing his fellow classmate Takeshi.

From the very beginning of the killing game, Eiji and Takeshi couldn't stand each other. Eiji regarded Takeshi as a "good for nothing thug", and the relationship he formed with Suzuki later only solidified this hatred. Takeshi ends up being the second victim of the killing game, with Eiji as the killer.

Crush
Suzuki and Eiji bonded over their love of dancing and very quickly Eiji found himself enamored with the ballerina. He was heartbroken when he learned Takeshi and Suzuki began a relationship in secret and he ends up killing Takeshi so he could get Suzuki all to himself, only to end up being executed and tramuatizing Suzuki.
