A void genasi out for vengeance
About
Umbriel was born a fire genasi, and was once a high ranking member of the Watch. One day they were tasked with hunting down a gang of thieves and while following through on this mission they were stabbed in the back by their most trusted ally, friend and subordinate; Koal. Leaving them dead in a back alley of the south-eastern gate.
The reason? Koal was intent on taking their position and power and made a sort of pact/promise with an entity called “The First Night.” He would sacrifice Umbriel to the entity and in return he’d get all he was promised and more.
The First Night then revived Umbriel and as they did- all the radiant flames of their fire genasi soul were snuffed out. Darkness crept in and changed them forever. The First Night made them their blade in the dark. Tasked them with missions to assassinate and kill specific individuals with seemingly no rhyme or reason; A selfish merchant one day, a saintly nun the next. If Umbriel attempted to hold back, refuse or do something against the First Night’s wishes they would feel the little bit of life they had drained from them till they gave in and completed the task.
Now after being grabbed by the mindflayers and having a tadpole in their head they haven’t heard the First Night’s call. They are kind of on a one brain cell trek to get revenge against Koal.

- Going to a beach even though the sun is too bright. Umbriel never got to experience the beach life much in Ignacresta and enjoys the water.

- The cold- vividly reminds them of waking up in a pond, bleeding out.
- Lizards- thinks they are kind of slimey
- Mindgames- Waste of time.
- Strong emotions- Umbriel doesn't know how to communicate well with others who are emotional. (Or even how to connect with themself when they are experiencing strong emotions)
- Gods (thinks they have too much time and are bratty like children. Constantly wanting and taking their way. Umbriel may be up for a god of war style slay all God's route)

- Is in a relationship with a Water Genasi named Rayyan. Hasn't seen her since their pact with the First Night started.

Flaws
- Single Minded-Umbriel gets focused on a task and has trouble switching to other tasks. They make lists, and stick to completing tasks in that lists order.
- Chain of command- Umbriel grew up in a household and community that had a chain of command and even when working alone they keep to that chain of command. If someone appears to out rank them and is on their same side they will follow their tasks. If someone appears to outrank them but is on a different side, or is trying to make them go against their own goals, They brush against them hard.
- Loyal to the Bone- Umbriel has lived their life on an eat or be eaten mentality which often leads to them assuming the worst from people first. This also means that when they do make friends with someone they might seem to shift personalities entirely as Umbriel would never let themself be comfortable with someone till they prove their loyalty.

Umbriel's skin is difficult to discern the color of. Due to their pact with the First Night shadows cling to them so strongly that not even light can really touch them. Instead only patches of silvery-moon lit skin can sometimes be seen. Their hair is void dark, with speckles of stars flickering in and out. They have black sclera's and glowing irises that have a faint magenta tone. They have a large scar from their back through their chest from where Koal stabbed them. It glows with a magenta tone as well.
Design Notes
- Hair is as long as needs to be for the drama.
- When their life is drained from them the magenta and glow of their eyes dims and grays.
