Rhys is the manager and head baker of Sweetheart Bakery. He worked his way up to his position, and one day he hopes to own a bakery of his own. The owners adore him, as do many of his other regulars. They enjoy his attention to detail, and how he makes sure that every pastry is practically perfect. Rhys writes down his own recipes, many of which are from his own experiments. He knows his recipes the best, and is too stubborn otherwise. He also made alternatives depending on allergies of course. He loves what he's doing, and loves bringing home leftovers for Lucas.

He tends to wear heart or rose patterned clothes. When not tied up, his hair goes down to his shoulders. He usually wears his hair in a low pony with bobby pins to hold his bangs out of his face when working. He wears short sleeved shirts with jackets, and has a prized denim jacket with multiple patches. His hair is also slightly wavy, and his ears are more smooth than his tail.
Design Notes
- Only wears Converses tm, in red, black, and white
- Jeans always have rips on them and are tattered around the cuff
- His uniform at the bakery is a white apron with a heart patch around his heart, along with a hair net to keep his hair out of the food
- Has two dermal piercings under his left eye, a tongue bar, and a belly button piercing
- His teeth are sharp, almost like fangs
Backstory
Rhys doesn't like talking about his family. To put it simply, they were transphobic and didn't like that he was trans. So, he made it a point to not care for his parents' opinions. That attitude worked for his mental health, well at least in his perception of his gender and his identity. So, his parents disowned him and gave him up for adoption when he was about 13. At 15, he was adopted by a lovely couple that quickly support him, buying a binder for him and eventually paying for his top surgery, among many other items. They also helped him with resumes, and he ended up working part time at his college coffee shop. That is also where he met Lucas, and they've been inseperable ever since.
Present Day
Presently he is working at the Sweetheart Bakery, and he adores his job. He is so glad that he chose to gave up on his Engineering degree, because now he can work doing what he loves. He's also looking into becoming a foster parent and is currently researching the requirements before he brings it up to Lucas.
Lucas: Fiance
The happy couple have been going strong for years, and are currently planning their wedding, among other future plans. Rhys can't find himself loving another man, it has always been Lucas for him.
Diane: Adoptive Mother
Diane was the one that got Rhys into baking. He owes his passion to her, in fact he was inspired by her own recipes. He still has a copy of those recipes to this very day, completely unedited.
Kyle: Adoptive Father
Kyle helped him become more comfortable in his body, as being a transman himself. Kyle knew all the tips and tricks, and personally bought Rhys a new wardrobe. He also helped Rhys with his name as well, due to them also sharing a love of video games.
