Callum is very quiet, preferring to observe the world without disturbing it. He enjoys tinkering and crafting, and uses this hobby to create many various hats for his cat. He's a solitary person, unaccustomed to company other than his service animal. He can easily become overwhelmed, but always tries to do the right thing in the end, and is a great planner.

Callum was abandoned at a young age when his hearing started to fade and his birth parents who hardly wanted him in the first place didn't want to deal with it. He grew up in a government funded orphanage where he was treated fine. He learned to read lips as his hearing faded more and more, and found his friend and service animal Charlie during this time. He saved her from some boys that were bothering her, and the two seemed to just click. Callum treated Charlie well, and Charlie alerted him of what he couldn't hear. As an adult, he joined the city's guard force. Normally he wouldn't be allowed to be a guard, but they were understaffed and the cat was good for morale.

One day some kids stole a horse from the stables he was guarding, accidentally cat-napping Charlie in the process. The horse belonged to a snobby rich family that demanded he was fired. With nothing left, Callum resolved to get his cat back. He stole a horse of his own and followed the kids.

He eventually found his cat, but in the process got wrapped up in something much bigger.
