The ax that killed him was lodged in his neck when he arrived in Helheim. He pulled the ax out and decided to keep it. The blade had blackened in colour from the blood it had been dripping in, and the handle had a dark red hue as the wood absorbed the colour. Ulvhedin is not skilled with using it so he usually sticks to melee. He’s goal is to be able to use the ax to kill the owner of the weapon, responsible for his death.
Blood Barrier
A spell that covers the user in a layer of blood shielding them from damage for a short time. It almost looks like a red plate armour covering the body. It takes a lot of energy to maintain this spell so the caster should pick the best time to use it, and it should be used with caution.
Blood weapons
This spell allows the user to create a vast selection of weapons out of blood. The blood hardens like metal and becomes extremely sharp. It also weighs a lot less than actual metal and this allows for much easier handling. This spell costs way less energy and power to use as well, which makes this spell useful in most scenarios.
Blood Curse
A difficult spell that allows the user to curse someone. To use this spell the caster would need blood from the victim as well, making this much harder to pull off without the victim knowing. It also requires a lot of energy and power to cast and should not be used often as the caster could kill themself by draining all their energy in the process.
Story
The Blood Ritual
Born the youngest son to an influential Jarl, he grew up in the shade of his older brother, who was the heir to his father’s throne. Sick with envy, Ulvhedin plotted to rid himself of the competition. But he wanted to do it in such a way that he couldn’t be framed for the murder. As a young adult he came across an old ritual site. Stones were covered in strange symbols, like none he had seen before. He picked up a damaged scroll from underneath a deer skull.
The writing was mostly foreign to him, but he managed to make out a few words, and something that looked like a name. “Arawn, the God of Death and the Underworld” read one sentence. The rest of the paper looked like some sort of instruction to a ritual. There were images of bleeding wolves, all placed in a circle, surrounding a deer skull. Probably the same skull he found the scroll under. It was decorated in symbols and surrounded by a smoldered cloak. There was also a picture of a crudely drawn moon on the leather piece he was holding.
Intrigued by this strange ritual, and curious of what powers this could potentially give, Ulvhedin decided to act out the ritual to the best of his abilities. He managed to kill four wolves that he placed in a circle around the skull. Then as the full moon shined down upon them, he cut open their bellies, letting the blood flow freely, surrounding the skull in steaming red liquid. He kneeled before the circle, trying to read out what looked like a spell on the leather scroll. As he finished the last word the skull's eyes started to glow, like the candles around the site. Then a voice could be heard, speaking in a tongue unknown to Ulvhedin. Suddenly, he was lifted up by a force and he felt his body aching, as his limbs started morphing. He let out screams of pain as fur, claws and fangs replaced his human self. He fell to the ground, unconscious.
Fury of the beast
As he awoke some time later, he panicked as his vision was all warped, and his body was not his own. He was no longer human, but a beast, a werewolf. After he got the time to calm down, he realized what possibilities this gave him. This was the answer he was looking for. His way of killing off all competition.
He snuck back to the village, into his brother's bedroom, where he found him sleeping in his bed. When Ulvhedins eyes noticed him, he was overcome with an intense bloodlust, a lust he could not control. He ripped his brother’s body apart. But the madness didn’t end there. Ulvhedin went completely feral. He mauled his way through the entire longhouse. Killing off his entire family and everyone else in there.
Blood was dripping from his jaw, he heard a loud scream from the entrance. One of the villagers had heard the commotion and went to investigate. Ulvhedin didn’t hesitate to attack, leading his uncontrolled being straight into the village. Here however he was met by the Vǫlva and a handful of hunters.
She saw the black magic at work and ordered the men to remove his head, as that was the only way to kill him. They ganged up on him, managing to get the ax around his throat. Next he knew he was in a dark, cold, landscape. Filled with whining souls. Ulvhedin stood knee-deep in venom from the snakes above him, intertwined to act as the hall’s roof. He later learned he was in the realm of the dead, Helheim. But apart from the others, he was still a werewolf.
Realm of the unworthy
A hideous creature appeared before him. Half undead and half girl, the creature loomed over him. “Welcome Ulfheðinn, to Nástrǫnd. Centre of the depth of Helheim.” The creature proclaimed. “I am its ruler, Hel, daughter of Loki.” “The place where we’re both standing, is the place murderers, adulterers, and oath-breakers are sent once they die. Which is why you are here.” She continued.
“You killed half of your village in a fit of uncontrolled rage, all because of jealousy.” Hel stopped, “I sense magic not known to me in your veins. Dark magic from an unknown entity.” “You could prove quite useful for my family and I” she smirked.
Hel grants Ulvhedin passage through the Helgrind, and a safe way out of her realm. He was instructed to travel to Asgard to look for her brother Fenrir. Maybe Ulvhedin’s unknown powers could break the unbreakable Gleipnir and set Fenrir free. This journey would lead him to encounter Sin, Fenrir’s son and guard.

Ulvhedin met Sin when he first arrived on Fenrir’s island. As the person set to guard the beast he was quite suspicious of Ulvhedin and his intentions. But after learning that they both have similar wants, they decided to team up in trying to free Fenrir. They became bluetooth brothers as a way to try and strengthen each other's magic abilities.
Ulvhedin first encountered Valour as she was in the midst of a brutal attack. The giant beast was pinning the gryvern down ripping at it’s chest and neck. Ulvhedin jumped the beast, getting it off the wounded mount before it could cause lethal damage. He managed to kill the animal with the help of his blood magic, before assessing the damage on Valour. The bird was in a bad shape, and Ulvhedin couldn’t justify letting the thing just die.
He brought the gryvern into a nearby cave, cuddling up to her to keep her body temperature up. Ulvhedin used what knowledge he had on caring for Valour, bringing her food and healing what he could with the help of his magic. The bird however was determined to get out of there as soon as possible. Ulvhedin had no idea why, but had no interest in babysitting a gryvern so he let her off as soon as she was strong enough to take off.
