Dapplethorn

• Her body is quite angular and pointy. Very sharp, spikey and prickly. Her tail especially is always puffed up.
• She has long legs but is still quite lithe and average height.
• Her head, muzzle and paws are quite small.
• The top of her left ear is split.

Dapplethorn was born as Dapplekit alongside her two sisters Spottedkit and Specklekit (Spottedfern & Speckleberry), She had a much more headstrong and defiant personality than her siblings a did and contrasted sharply with them.

Dapplekit started off as extremely ambitious and always tryingto improve herself and learn about the world around her as quickly as possible.

Dapplekit became an apprentice and was renamed Dapplepaw, Dapplepaw took her training very seriously and was very upset when her efforts were not recognised. She was still as social and chatty as her sisters could be and made plenty of friends with the other apprentices, especially with a she-cat named Slatepaw.

Her and Slatepaw trained outside camp constantly, slowly becoming best friends and doing everything together, Slatepaw was the first cat to know of Dapplepaw's attraction to she-cats and was very supportive. Encouraging the proud and open traits Dapplethorn possesed in her later life. Dapplepaw soon developed feelings for Slatepaw but Slatepaw had been eyeing an older apprentice: Barkpaw. In order to keep Slatepaw happy and their relationship stable Dapplepaw never told her her true feelings and was happy to keep things just friends, Dapplepaw continued to work hard at her apprentice duties.

Dapplepaw earnt her warrior name: Dapplethorn and became a full warrior of SkyClan. Her skills and contributions now fully recognised and acknowledged by her community. Slatepaw, now Slatebreeze, had gotten with Barkfoot(Barkpaw) and was soon expecting his kits. Dapplethorn was very supportive of her friend and accompanied her during her pregnancy, becoming familiar with Barkfoot in the process. Dapplethorn comforted Slatebreeze when her three of her four kits were born still-born, helping to protect her only surviving kit: her daughter Ravenkit.

Once Ravenkit became an apprentice and Slatebreeze was allowed to return to warrior duties RiverClan and SkyClan began growing more hostile as Wet-leaf began to roll in. The tensions finally escalated to a full battle at Fall rocks which Dapplethorn attended, during the battle Slatebreeze is thrown into the rushing river by a RiverClan warrior named Basilpelt after taking heavy damage. Dapplethorn furiously tries to save her but Slatebreeze dies of second degree drowning once she is dragged to shore, during the she-cat's last moments Dapplethorn vows to protect and watch over her daughter, Ravenpaw.

While crushed by her loss, Dapplethorn soon works through her grief and guilt by watching over her mate and kit and dedicating herself even more toward her clan and traditions. Through her sadness however fostered an extreme prejudice toward the other clans and soon outsiders in general, a hatred that Dapplethorn encouraged and cemented into Ravenpaw. Dapplethorn soon fell for a close friend of hers by the name of Littlepool, and the two become mates. Dapplethorn is very protective and attentive to Littlepool and the two were lucky to have a very loving relationship. Dapplethorn was one of the only cats to voice their disapproval of Sun (Sunscorch) and his kin becoming SkyClan members and acted very tense around the young family.

Dapplethorn was given Tawnypaw as an apprentice and Dapplethorn trained him toughly and demanded top perfomance, which Tawnypaw was happy to ablige. Ravenpaw soon became Ravensight and Dapplethorn celebrated his promotion. After Barkfoot was killed by Echocloud of RiverClan during another battle at Fall rocks Dapplethorn soon began looking over Ravensight, accidentally neglecting Tawnypaw in the process. Tawnypaw while forgiving of Dapplethorn soon had to train outside camp with Palepaw by themselves due to Dapplethorn's abscense.

During a plague that took the lives of her sister and neice a sign was sent by StarClan that insuated that Ravensight was to become leader. Dapplethorn watched Ravensight become leader after succeeding their long upstanding leader, Ryestar. Dapplethorn was very supportive and became deputy at his side, helping him throughout his leadership but becoming slowly unaware of Ravenstar's thirst for vengeance against RiverClan.

Over the moons Ravenstar's hatred and quest for revenge spiralled into violence and desperation, the she-cat so consumed in her quest that she indirectly began dragging her already broken clan down with her. Dapplethorn notice the extreme decision making by her leader but made excuse after excuse in order to avoid confronting him, too afraid of the monster she contributed in causing. Littlepool and Dapplethorn got into many fights over their conflicting opinions about Ravenstar's tyranny which only weighed on Dapplethorn's shoulders and stress. Wondering if being deputy was really what she wanted, or if she was worthy of the position at all. Ravenstar made a litter of kits apprentices three moons too early, sending them into battle against RiverClan and ultimately to their deaths. Dapplethorn was shocked and finally wished to confront her leader, but before she could approach her Sunscorch had arranged a coup to dethrone Ravenstar and exile her. The coup was successful but to Dapplethorn's horror she was exiled alongside her former leader, despite protesting from Littlepool. Sunscorch berated both Littlepool and Dapplethorn that she was not worthy of staying in SkyClan, stating her job as deputy was to challenge and confront her leader on behalf of the clan and that she had failed, sending the she-cat away from SkyClan and out into the moor.

Dapplethorn was left to fully marinate in who she had become, letting stress and guilt twist her into making stupid descisions to make up for her percieved failings, only to fails the cats that were truly important to her anyway. The reality caused Dapplethorn to have a mental breakdown and live out on the moor and away from the rainforest for some time, away from other cats and learning to adapt to new ways of hunting and living. After a while of reflection Dapplethorn decided to go back, apologise, see if she can rejoin SkyClan and redeem herself at the cost of the deputy postion and having to earn her clan-mates respect a second time. Two things that Dapplethorn was okay with, but to her horror when she approached SkyClan's camp all that was found was a deserted wasteland. With SkyClan mysteriously gone ony fueled Dapplethorn's want for redemption, and she set out in search of the lost clan. Her search lead her to a gathering, one to her dismay SkyClan had not attended. To her relief her sister Spottedfern and two other SkyClan she-cats (Mossdapple & Sorrelwing) had joined ShadowClan temprarily as refugees. The clans allowed her to stay to find out what happened but she was to decide where to go from there. After learning Sunscorch took the clan away Dapplethorn offers herself up to go and find the group. Becoming a spy, the clans agree and she is granted free access over the territories as long as it is for trading information and that she comes back with updates.

Dapplethorn is set on bringing back SkyClan, determined and fueled with nothing to lose she accepts the challenge, her clan, Littlepool and her way of life all hanging in the back of her mind as she furiously searches the jungle her missing clan.
