Background

Sketch started off as a cartoon character designed for show but that ended up failing as the creator of sketch and the person behind the whole thing had a violent falling out, thus Sketch's origins in crime are in their inky blood as Jean stole Sketch as a character and plagarized them. Though the reason behind the violent falling out with Jean and Alexandria is because Jean wanted to bring magic into this and make their creations more than just on the screen but real, hard for cartoon companies to compete with that right? Though the true moral delima began and well Jean could never take no for an answer so bringing Sketch off the page was a great creation of his until it hit him that well this area might be just humans but other parts of the world are more than that and this wouldnt be as impressive but they must prevail as everything was changing around them and an alive cartoon character was soon going to be nothing more but an average sight. Though with Sketch being a child and having to grow up and be taken care of Jean found this rather annoying and tended to ingore Sketch and their antics until it was bothering him or getting in the way

Sketch was always up to no good, which it was mostly fun and games really, sneaking out when she wasnt supposed to and wadering off to places was always left unoticed but god forbid he was allowed to have a cookie when yel was already told no! They grew up being surrounded by very little english speakers and his native language is in fact french but picked it up when more people who spoke english started showing up and being around sketch, fuck being her first and favorite word for a while. They found a strong love for music and dance between childhood and teen years due to sneaking into clubs and getting to watch bits of performances and shows, taking naturally to it as if he was made for it. Such talent drew in a bit of attention but Sketch didn't exactly have the confidence as a teenager to do shows or perform for people, after all he was still new to it and the anxiety it brought overpowered any possible joy from the validation. This drew in the attention of an upcoming singer and performer Delilah Doll who Sketch fell absolutely head over heels for, such a lovely and pretty girl looking at Sketch? Wanting to be near Sketch?? How could they not fall in love? After all, Delilah was so sweet and kind to Sketch and spent a lot of time with her as such feelings grew fast.

As Delilah and Sketch started to date, Sketch just vanishing for long periods of time was unoticed by Jean as he was too busy working on something he was hellbent on waiting for a grand reveal before telling anyone. Which was great for Sketch, no questions asked and they could just go off with Delilah whenever yel wanted. Though not too long into the relationship did such a sweet young love reveal it's dark and true side, Delilah was in fact luring Sketch in for much more sinister things that iel was oblivious to, It started off small, simple no's were brushed off until Sketch soon reallized what a doll Delilah wasn't and what a toy he was going to be forced to be. The only issue was Sketch still loved her, this had to be wrong right? Delilah wasn't a bad person no no not at all. Forcing themself to believing lies and clinging to a false hope that she was thinking too much about this only dug him a bit of a grave Delilah was going to burry her in. Delilah's true side surfaced very quickly into the relationship and what she wanted Sketch originally didn't feel comfortable doing, but Delilah just hates no as an answer. Sketch ended up trapped in a relationship with Delilah for a few years where she was abused in several ways with a difficult time leaving as Delilah was for a while the only source of love Sketch had but it was clear that there was something very very wrong. After all Delilah turned out to be a sex and human trafficker and boy did that suck finding out the hard way, though Delilah had it where Sketch was just her toy and didn't like the idea of losing her.

It got to a point where Sketch couldn't take it anymore, with the curse of immortality they had to find another way out, which resulted in Sketch fucking dipping and running back to Jean hoping that maybe there was something there? Wrong, Jean had lost himself to the idea of becoming a god as Sketch was an example of such proof he could be one, so going from one abuser to another though this one Sketch physically couldn't leave. Jean trying to figure of how on earth to make it where Sketch would make him a god, which spoiler alert it was not a feat he could do alone. So once that conclusion with a lot of painful and awful tests done on Sketch he got the help of a toon angel, after all another toon should be able to help him right? Which for a while he was semi making progress which progress for him was making sketch lose herself slowly, by this point losing touch with most basic emotions from being isolated and losing the ability to feel anything at all. This causing such built up anger to finally boil up and spill out in the form of bloodlust, resulting in two casualties and a violent Sketch finally out of yels cage. The violence felt nice and comforting as it was the first form of relief Sketch had felt in years and he clung to it as hard as possible, wandering around for a way to find such relief again and getting a spot in a mafia related business doing some recruiting and other business.

Sketch's violence and quick ways of getting stuff done and deals made caught the eye of the one in charge, such qualities landed Sketch an underboss promotion very quickly and Sketch's ability to deliver never waivered for a while as this was an odd situation to be in but the upgrade was nice. Learning a lot more ins and outs of the was this business ran Sketch's violent rampage didn't look like it was going to stop but she could feel it slowling stopping, making plans to backstab and just destroy the whole gang from the inside out was a new thing sketch had in mind. And while Sketch had this going on, the other face she had they met Anthony, Penn, Candy, Trebble and others which slowly started making iel feel like anger wasn't the only good emotion and well kickstart this possible new arc as fast as possible. Being goofy and himself felt nice again once Sketch relearned other emotions over time, doing her best to shed that old animalistic monster like shell that had been crafted for a while. As much as Sketch has come for in such an arc their bloodlust has never left, but they quench it by still fucking around with gang activities and making it difficult for whatever they have going on and killing shitty people.

• They almost constantly wear their suit and fedora. They can be drawn without either.
• Sketch's shoes are probably my favorite shoes to draw.
