Josh Summerbridge

"Why, Star, did you pick someone like me? What good do you think I can do?"

Josh was born in a world called Techna, a futuristic world which had religion stomped out of it overtime. The world was starting to lose power and stability over time, before Josh was born there was a prophecy going around predicting someone would be born and destined by the stars to save them, as the prophecy goes; "A lad or lass with eyes of gold with crosses that dotted them, eyes like no other that would be able to save us all, a pure of heart and soul being that will be the only one able to harness the Power source and fix it in time. Born in the most unexpected situations, clouded by lies and cloaked in illusion they must be guided safely in order to fulfill their destiny is what the Star says and commands.” When Josh was born with his unusual eyes the government seized this opportunity as he was the one to fulfill the prophecy. Thus led to a lot of unknown tests on him in weird and unusual ways. His "father" wanted nothing to do with this and he ended up killed and out of the picture after his younger sister Mia was born. Their mother when he was about 5 abandoned them and Josh had to raise himself and his sister alone for a while before Doc found them and took them in with open arms. Josh growing up with depression and intense anxiety worried Doc about what this whole thing was doing to him as he obsessed himself with decoding whatever messages the prophecy might have left him along with other writings of the mad man who had said it.

Doc did his best to raise both Josh and Mia and made sure what little childhood they were bound to have was the best he could offer. Josh's mother returned when he was 13 to stay with them due to the fact that she claimed to miss both him and his little sister, though that stay was one night for in the morning she was gone with Mia, only thing remaining was her scarf that she had hid in her room for Josh which he wears today. When he turned 14 the government handed him the powersource and requested he go and fulfill his duty and fix it, which he agreed to on the terms of if they would find his little sister who he missed dearly,the deal was set and as he was planning to leave he ended up meeting Lime who was being arrested and was trying to be executed for whatever the 11 year old did. Josh requesting his pardon and getting Lime's life spared, Lime offering to accompany him on his quest to fix the power source and also teach him how to wield it right, Josh taking this offer happily. Now they both are set out trying to fix this power source with the Star watching them carefully.
