Douglass worked a rather ordinary job as a fisherman, but after he assisted in the capture of infamous pirate, Nikolai the Grey, he became a local hero overnight. Douglass was able to use his nautical skills to track down and recapture the pirate on multiple occasions, which his daughter, Eva, greatly admired. But behind the persona of a local hero, Douglass was a humble family man who supported his daughter’s dream of becoming and adventurer someday. Doug’s life was cut short at sea however, when he was killed in battle by Nikolai. His wife, Daisy, was left to raise Eva and her brother as a single mother after the loss of her beloved.
