Overview
Working as a private eye in Castoia is- honestly not as difficult as you'd think it to be. Even if the crime rates have lessened over the years- that doesn't mean that there's total peace and security on this country. More so- it becomes even more dangerous when you're practically working against a government that could be identified- just barely- as a mob.
[The Agency] may be funded by the Castoian Overseer and managed by them- but even the Overseer may do some less than- morally okay things. People like Grift wish to bring justice to those who have been actively wronged by the misconduct that was brought to them via. the Overseer's greed and carelessness.
- Grift kind of has a big target on his head due to his position.
- Like a really big one.
- Its kind of incredible how he's survived for so long but then again- he isn't as cowardly as he looks, he's just prudent.
He isn't the strongest or boldest person- hell, the job doesn't rake in a lot of money, but he's passionate about what he does, and his intelligence is astounding but perfect enough to make up in what he lacks.
Notes
- His unusual appearance [ie. height and hair/eye color] is due to his stardust imballance, on a technicallity he could identify as an AMALGAM but otherwise is just- human, normal. His intelligence isn't magic or whatnot, he's just built like that.
- Even if he's got a shake in his hands, he's got a damn good aim.
- His hands are all scarred up, the shake isn't due to nerve damage- albeit it, that could be on the table- he just had all his fingers broken that one time, its no biggie.
- Talks with a stutter, he's a bit of a wreck and not the best people person, thats why he's a PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR and primarily just works with one person and not with the damn agency itself, going undercover.
- He lives in a quiet little tourist town that gets picked up here and there for its paranormal activity, Grift himself is indifferent to the supernatural or idea of it- he'll believe it if a client needs him to.
- Due to his sensitivity to light, he wears a wide brimmed hat.
- He's horrendusly tall but- has a bit of a bad posture so he isn't as terribly towering as he should be??

As someone that he's time and time again ran into and is currently looking into- the Assassin finds the Detective to be a nuissance and pain in his side, he could kill him any time he wishes but- instead just broke all his fingers as a warning. Grift is- trying his best.

As the person who hired him- of course Grift is rather prim around Otis, considering how long that he's been working for him- it's been unusal work, for sure- he's grown to become acquainted and actually eats for free at his restaurant.
