Chet takes his role as a helper in society very seriously. Helping all those he can in the many situations they can find themselves in. Donating money, legal help, advocacy of any kind. He wants to help.
11 months ago Chet was promoted to Squad Leader, however his entire mental state has entirely deteriorated. He's struggling to meet what is expected of him, from overthinking his leadership roles to faking hatred towards his ex wife. Just trying to meet what's "normal" in this situations. Put on a good face, pretend to be what everyone decides for him to be. It's gnawing at him. Chet firmly believes he shouldn't be in this role, that he never deserved it. And it's a reminder to Preston's death.
Yet he pretends it doesn't affect him. Because it's "not his death to mourn".
Just coming off of his months long case on the Ghost Girl, Chet is having some interesting thoughts in hid head. A storm is brewing. And getting kidnapped didn't help.
Is he really worth anything?
