To put it nicely, Syd is a huge goof. Very silly, trying to joke even at the wrong times. But never mistake it for ignorance. Syd deep down is a compassionate human being, having spent a lot of time learning to sepreate their sympathy from affecting them and turning it into productive empathy, because no one deserves to be misunderstood.

However they're stupid nosy and can't help but snoop into things that shouldn't.

Story

Growing up

Born to Ming "The Beacon" Beckman and her now ex husband, Syd grew up having as normal of a childhood that a child to a rich model can have. But it was the good kind. Syd grew up healthy, was inspired to do good, to be kind no matter your positon in life and to be yourself.

What Syd also learned, was the potential of their epithet. The idea that they could control another human being, take their freewill to simply accomplish whatever sick desire they had. And that scared vher. Syd is left unsure how to even apply that part of themselves without feeling guilty and scared.

But they don't want to be weak, don't they?

The Hunt for Ghost Girl

As Syd's first major case, Syd was on the Ghost Girl case and thanks to their lack of any major loss, was able to keep their head on their shoulders. It felt freeing almost, using vher epithet in different sort of ways, knowing that this was all for good. Trying to keep it together.
