Kyouhei Ikagura

Special Agent Kyouhei Ikagura (斑鳩 恭平, Ikagura Kyouhei) is a character who resides within the story of  AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES as a regular detective, and in  AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES - nirvanA Initiative as a newly transferred Psyncer.

Kyouhei is a police officer in the investigation department in  AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES. He excelled with talking to witnesses and anybody else connected to the case at hand, being able to consider the person's feelings whilst pressing just enough for them to spill any infomation with ease. He is the father of his daughter ██████ Ikagura, and prides himself in being a good father.

Some years later due to certain circumstances, Kyouhei intended to take leave. Instead, he was recuited into the Advanced Brain Investigation Squad as an additional Psyncer to the team, due to how well he was able to work with people as a regular detective. These events happened during the timeskip of  AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES. His left eye was already damaged from a traumatic event, and had to wear strong glasses to account for the damage done. Since becoming a Psyncer, he now has a replacement eye equipped with advanced artificial intelligence (the AI-Ball "Sora").

Emetology

• Kyouhei (恭平) means respectful and modest. It also means peaceful, and leans towards "everyday life".
  • This relates to his previous position of a regular everyday detective, leading a modest and regular life.
• Ikagura (斑鳩) means speckled or "uneven" pigeon. 
  • This relates to his morals slowly changing throughout his years of a detective and the events he experienced. "Pigeon" relates to him needing to gather information (food) from all over the place, typically cities.
