faulkner crawford

introduction.

faulkner is a child that the party adopts on their adventure, he accompanies them and tends to be the voice of mercy during fights. he saves them from an injured griffon saving it in the process, then asks to follow them since he wants to explore selkatar. it doesn't take long for them to become like family

faulkner is a sweet kid, his main priority is making sure that everybody around him is safe and happy, humanoid or not, even if they've treated him badly. he's incredibly selfless and doesn't always consider his own safety. he gets bored easily and usually ends up playing with one of the party members as they travel. he's very polite but can be sort of sassy at times (and he definitely did NOT pick that up from prometheus judas or jasper i dont know what you mean). at the end of the day he's still a child and is easily scared, especially by conflict between his family. he tends to try to hide whenever faced with something that he can't easily fix, but wishes he was braver - personally i think he's the bravest in the party and deserves all the good things in the world

• faulkner grew up with his parents, they were close and had a calm family life but shadowfen wasn't the best village in terms of crime rates
  • he was struck by lightning at 4 years old, this was seen as a bad omen from the god of vengeance and a sign that his family had committed an injustice
• his house was caught in a village fire 4 years later, both of his parents died trying to get him out
  • shadowfen was struggling with food shortages after the fire and attempted to get faulkner to leave, since he was an orphan and just another mouth to feed
• altaria took him in to protect him and became an older sister figure - she taught him how to forage and garden and encouraged his love of birds
  • they began to care for wild birds together, and faulkner saved arvid from a wolf when he was 10 years old
• he eventually became interested in adventuring but altaria wasn't able to leave long enough to take him to other villages
  • when they meet the party, faulkner wants to help them, and altaria reluctantly lets him go, making them promise to bring him home safe

• he is covered in freckles from being in the sun a lot and has a missing tooth

• he was struck by lightning when he was 4 and has a white streak in his hair
  • he also has a lichtenberg scar that trails across his chest, reaching his arms, the side of his face and one leg
• he always wears a falconry glove on his right hand due to arvid following him around most of the time, his archer's glove is optional
  • he can wear anything that fits a medieval fantasy setting, or anything with greek influences since his kingdom is based on ancient greece
