Arqyne is a Half-Aeterna woman who grew up as an orphan in Ark's Undercity. She later on joins the religious group know as the Rhalâta.

She does not like playing by anyones rules but her own but since joining the Rhalâta she has to be extra careful making sure her rule breaks will never be discovered.

Arqyne is never truly honest about her feelings and is hard to figure out unless you are close to her. She puts on an aggressive, sarcastic and angry persona in front of others to make sure no one can get too close to her. Deep down she is far more vulnerable than she'd ever admit, having difficulties trusting people and building up relationships due to fear of getting hurt. She was always a very curious person however and will always try to find out things she doesn't have to know.

Spoilers for Enderal, specifically for Tharaêl's story and the Rhalâta questline

Arqyne was born on Enderal from an Enderalean and Aeterna. She never met her parents however and has lived on the streets of the undercity as far back as she can remember. She was always more of a lone wolf but did eventually find some friends in her childhood. She watched many of them pass due to sickness which took a huge toll on her. She was always a rather healthy child even while living in the undercity. She was on the waiting list for the Refuge, the undercities Orphanage. But the list was long and she never made it in before she witnessed something that changed her life forever. At the age of eleven, she witnessed the abduction of multiple kids from the Orphanage. Her natural curiosity was always strong but in this second it went over the roof. Despite the dangers she decided to watch, recognizing the Rhalâta due to their clothing. She also recognized some familiar faces under the children being carried out due to seeing them on the streets prior. Tharaêl was one of the faces she spotted. Before she was able to try and investigate further, a member spotted her and a singular stare was enough to scare the girl so bad she could not move her body anymore. She still blames herself for this to this day knowing full well an eleven year old could have not stopped what was going on in any way.

After the fateful day

Arqyne's young mind was obsessed with what she saw that day for weeks and months to come. It would not let her go, she could barely sleep without getting nightmares. She had not seen a singular kid of the ones that were taken again. She decided that it was her calling to find out what had happened that day. She started to learn how to fight and how to defend herself. At twelve years old she had her first fight in the Dust Pit. She was still a rather timid girl at the time so the idea of harming another person was horrible to her but she needed the training and the coin. Winning her fight, be it barely, she recieved her first payment consisting of a few Endralean Penny Coins which would be able to keep her fed for a while. She had a few fights later on in which she trained her skills and had to get over her dislike of hurting others, until she saw someone else in the Dust Pit. Tharaêl, who was thirteen at the time was a fighter in the Dust Pit as well. With confusion she approached the boy who was very defensive about everything and anything. The two of them had an argument before she explained to him that she saw him that day. He exlained to her that he could not remember anything that happened during the time he was gone,which in return peaked her curiosity even more. After some more convincing him, he agreed to have her stick around for a while. He taught how how to stand up for herself a bit better as well as train their fighting skills together. The two of them grew incredibly close, seeing eachother as family which did intimidate Tharaêl knowing what happened to the last person he was close to. He wanted to keep her safe at all costs so when he explained to her that he will be joining the Rhalâta he also strictly forbade her from doing the same. During all the years the two of them had spent together however, Arqyne learned how to get what she wants so she ignored his rule and joined the Rhalâta as well. She was convinced that she was supposed to find out what happened that day she saw the kids getting taken and she still was convinced of it. Tharaêl was more than just unhappy with this but knew he couldn't keep her from it. So after joining he started to ignore her and act like they didn't know eachother which hurt Arqyne more than anything. She ventually followed him to his hideout, confronting him about it. Tharaêl angrily explained to her that this is the only way to keep her safe now. If he was to be found out as a traitor she would go down with him which he did not want. Arqyne begrudgingly had to accept this reality and that, just like herseld, Tharaêl was hard to convince of anythig else once he set his mind on something. She agreed to his terms but only if they could at least talk in his hide-out from time to time. The both of them agreed to eachothers terms, living their lives in the Rhalâta and working their way up to being Voices in the organisation. Arqyne took on the name of Sister Curiosity as Tharaêl took on the name of Brother Wrath.

Meeting the Prophet

Arqyne was never supposed to be a part of Tharaêl's plan with Ravaari and Carcena. She however decided to join this plan of his and introduced herself to the two women as well. Too late to go back, Tharaêl had to just accept that she will be joining their plan. Arqyne was far less stand off-ish with the two women after knowing them for a bit while Tharaêl kept up his facade for a long time after. She started to get aquainted with Ravaari and Carcena, even enjoying talking to them. Arqyne also knew her brother well enough to notice something off about him when it came to Carcena. After a bit of poking around, she realized he was developing a crush on her which she welcomed and gently teased him for. At the fight with the Father in the room of paintings, Arqyne gets hurt incredibly bad along with Carcena. Both of them are assumed to be dead by Ravaari, The Father and Tharaêl. After winning the fight with the Father and stopping Tharaêl from committing suicide and offering up her home Ravaari was going to leave, letting Tharaêl come to terms with the things that just happened. However in the time the two of them talked, Carcena managed to get up again. While still hurt badly, she was able to pull herself up to sit. At this time, Ravaari checks for Arqyne's pulse realizing she too survived. Ravaari called for Tharaêl, even though he asked to be alone for a while. But with the urgency in her voice, he knew it had to be something pretty serious so he got up. Finding Carcena hurt, but sitting on her own he rushed to her side. Ravaari telling him that she can still feel a pulse in Arqyne, he urges her to get her help right away as he takes care of Carcena. Ravaari carried Arqyne a bit further away from them, sitting her down at the stairs in another room. She tried her best with the light magic she knew to get her in a more stable condition. Feeling her pulse become more stable and strong again, Ravaari left the Temple with her, looking for someone who was specialized in light magic.

After the Rhalâta

Arqyne woke up in Ravaari's home after a few days of unconciousness. Knowing Tharaêl and herself could never go back to the Rhalâta or be found by them, they had to conceal their identieies as best as possible. Tharaêl wears a bandana over his Rhalâta tatto and let his hair grow out a bit. Arqyne first wore jewlery over her tatto until her hair had grown out enough so she could simply cover the tattoo with it. She will forever be thankful to Ravaari for helping the both of them and giving them a place to stay. Arqyne was also happy to see that Tharaêl let down his defensive facade around Ravaari, herself and Carcena now. It put her at ease which also allowed her to not put up a show anymore. She had finished what she started as a child, she had found out what happened to the children she saw all those years back. Seeing Tharaêl finally admit his feelings for Carcena, Arqyne thought about Tamaka a lot and how badly she had treated her at times out of nothing but her own fear. She wasn't sure if she ever had the strength to reach out to her again, even if it was just to apologize. Arqyne asked Ravaari to keep an eye on Tamaka and if the time was ever right, if she could ask her to meet with her.
