Personality
Holy Branches is a passive creature, it does not engage with others unless they stand in the way of its mission. It will entertain the occasional traveller with riddles, prophecies or tales of old. Nobody quite knows what its goal is.

hobbies
Holy enjoys digging up and collecting crystals, it often ties them to its horns or hangs them by strings around its home. It collects many trinkets, claiming anything shiny and unowned to decorate or aid the forest and its inhabitants.
It presses flowers and collects bones. It has a knack for taxidermy too, and treats the ghost-like memories of the creatures as friends.
quirks
Holy doesn't make an effort to understand social norms, it speaks in a bland and wistful voice. It tends to create its own words, verbal expressions, and metaphors. Many describe Holy as 'uncanny valley'
It otherwise acts quite other-wordly and spaced out. Holy has nervous twitches and will descend into disassociation or psychosis if something is wrong (unnatural disease, ill intentioned newcomer, etc)
History
The Seed
Holy grew from a seed, growing slowly into a bud over the span of years. Many attempted to destory the bud, but Holy prevailed. Once it hatched, Holy created itself a home in its birthplace. It developed an interest in decorating its majestic antlers, the source of its power. Many wanted Holy destroyed, but, the creature seemed unable to. Eventually, the area was abandoned by all who knew of Holy.
Eventually, it faded into legend.
A New Beginning
New civilisation formed nearby, but rarely touched the forest besides to forage. The townsfolk grew to respect Holy, leaving it to its own devices and never trying to harm its home or the other wildlife that lived there. Holy does not harm others unless it must, though the townsfolk bring offerings and tend to nature to show their respect for Holy.
Guardian
Holy watches the forest and the nearby town, bringing water when droughts strike and curing plague with its enchanted crystals. The full power of Holy is unknowm, and many doubt it ever will be. But, Holy is not a threat to anyone who has a good heart and the creature only aids when it feels it is appropriate.
