you know how they say don't give a joke character lore. this guy is why.
says on the tin he's a leader of a cult known as "hope's gate", which is a televangelist front shown on tv as opposed to the self-help fellowship you can actually join. the horse head is just one of those rubber horse masks, used for anonymity as it is a symbol of that in japan (apparently). his real face being unknown . . . !!!!
the sermons he gives are actually very tame, with him promising his sermons allow those who listen great hope and prosperity in their lives with new purpose, but also vague enough that it's obvious he just got self-help tips off google and writes it off as his own word of mouth. he did, however, come up with a 'staying clean' rhetoric that probably traumatizes (no it definitely does) his whole following into a blubbering mess if they stain themselves even a little with dirt or have 'impure' thoughts which pertains to violence or sex. it should go without saying the leader himself does not follow this rhetoric whatsoever.
the leader himself is. either personality i give him at that moment he's a jack of all trades personality. sometimes he's portrayed as sadistic, seriously cruel, and selfish with money. sometimes he's a total coward and goofball, there to be comedy gag relief to play either an outlandish probably-not-human guy who does physically impossible feats or says obvious lies about his life to seem like a god or play a straight (yet more importantly annoyed and irritated) straight man to the ever hopeful eden, their right hand.
but one thing is certain; he's a charismatic, pathological liar who intends to stay the leader.
