even if things look grim, eden always finds a way to look on the bright side! due to this woefully hopeful nature, people assume they are simply airheaded ; to which, they'd be... right, but eden is more than capable! they make all sorts of candles, but they have a knack for making valentine's themed heart candles and delightfully boast that they are a huge hit with couples. aside from sculpting candle wax, they enjoy more domestic interests like baking and cleaning, as well as daydreaming about being in love; feeling butterflies about the idea of it, fantasize about writing love letters to the pretty boy to their side, until they see another boy and the cycle repeats. despite this, they've never actually been in a relationship before and they wait for their prince charming with open arms.
however, all of this hope stems from a fellowship they joined dubbed 'hope's gate' ; a fellowship that was originally just a get-rich-quick, televangelist scam turned into a secretly dangerous indoctrinated cult. they've been living secluded with their leader, the leader, as a sort of right hand / second-in-command. with their unnaturally pious heart, they'd do anything for the leader and to spread his praises, knowing they'd be so lost without his guidance - however, they foam at the mouth at the idea of a coup and being the next leader of the fellowship; easily manipulated as much as they are unknowingly manipulative.
under the hope's gate's brainwash, eden's developed a terrible case of germaphobia ; opting into bouts of intense panic if they see anything slimy, gory, or dirty - especially if it touches their skin. though, they know weirdly a lot about slaughterhouses, animal fat, and how to poison baked goods, along with being completely fine with animal gore.
even if their knowledge of slaughterhouse gore and animal fat comes from an early life living poor on a farm, knowing about poisoning is quite the outlier...
