"Answer me, Zaara. How many more lives must be taken before my own?"

Pharaoh who sacrificed his "kingdom" to Zaara for eternal life.

As the arrogant, cruel and selfish dictator he was, he thought it meant sacrificing his people's lives in exchange for the eternity of his own, but it only cost him his royal status, becoming a pariah as he turned into the God of Sand's Champion. His body transformed into sand left him unaging, and at odds with his own unfinishable existence,
Quickly exiled after none would follow his commands any longer, he wandered through the desert, marked with an ankh shaped scar spreading across his back. Agonizing in burning hot sand, shunned by whatever travelers there were on the way, with grains of sand stuck in his dried lips, he wished for nothing but his own execution, as impossible as it was.
Eventually, reaching an oasis, blooming in the middle of nowhere, he found peace, and Orchid, who he wasn't aware was responsible for the oasis' existence in the first place. For the first time in his life, he was not revered as a god nor abused as an outcast, but treated as an equal. They found solace in each others company, yet couldn't find the courage to open up about their past lives, plagued by sin, guilt and regret. As much joy as they felt together, it left them always distant to some extent. Eventually, it became too much to bear, and they parted ways. Lotus now wanders in foreign lands, attempting to do what is right whenever he can, to abide for his crimes as a ruler. He hopes to one day return to his homeland, as a completely new man, free of guilt.
