I made this character when i was like 9 or 10 so that's actually why he looks like sonic original i know
Speedy is a Hedgehog who has a very very strong resemblence to Sonic the hedgehog, but when it comes to everything else he's quite different. He has electrokinetic powers that lets him charge up and travel to pretty fast speeds, though he's not as fast as Sonic, if he were to achive Sonic's regular speed he'd have to pour his sweat and tears and electricity to go as fast as him. Speedy doesn't actually know Sonic that well personally but he has seen him show up in the news and such.
Also, Speedy actually likes eating cat food unlike Sonic here.
Speedy's electric powers are kind of like batteries, he can only use them for so long before having to charge again. The quickest way he can charge up is if there's anything near him that stores electricity like train tracks or a utility pole.
If Speedy has a low amount of volts on him he'll reach critical conditions and can risk dying. So he always has to keep himself at a moderate percentage basically. He sleeps with a plasma ball next to him at night.
Personality wise, Speedy is generally a nice guy to talk to, he's a jokester but only when appropriate. He's very loyal and trusts his friends, but when it comes to fighting he spends no time thinking about what wise cracking line to say like how Sonic does.
