Miki Takizawa

She was raised by her cop mom, dad passed away when she was quite young so she has very faint memories of him. Her mom had a hard time on the force, and eventually became crooked and worked with the yakuza for extra cash on the side. She taught Miki how to hold her own in a fight, since she's sort of 'involved' in the criminal underworld now no matter what due to her mom. They weren't super close, her mom wasn't exactly maternal, but she did what she could. Eventually she gets whacked, and although Miki isnt necessarily emotionally destroyed over this, she vows revenge anyway. They may not have loved each other a lot, but she respected her mom and her mom showed her respect in turn. Problem is she has no idea who did it or on who's orders, so that revenge is a long shot. She resolved to join the yakuza in order to help her get clues.

Personality-wise she's a bit on the quiet side, not overly ambitious in terms of heading her own family or anything, but she can be manipulative and likes pulling strings from the shadows. She certainly think she's smarter than most, but maybe her greatest skill is her refusal to underestimate her opponent, and complete willingness to run from a situation she can't handle. She'll simply bide her time until a better opportunity arises. She makes really heavy use of the environment when she fights, and came to the conclusion that if she wants everyone to steer clear of her, since she isn't necessarily as intimidating at a glance as others, is to be as brutal as fucking possible. So she's made a name for herself basically by leaving people as close to dead as she can get away with in her fights. she sort of moonlights as an assassin/hitman; both for the people in and outside of the yakuza. Her fav weapon of choice are some slightly spiked brass knuckles with a hidden karambit that can be swung out from the side.
