Sera is like a double-edged sword- sometimes quick to anger, and other times caring. While she loses her temper easily, she has a large heart and will do anything to protect those she loves. Motherhood suits her well, and she loves her family more than anything. She has worked hard to grow past her pain, and has found some wisdom in her later years. She wants nothing more than to serve the light and help people. She handles her anger well as she ages, and she loves very strongly.

Sera was born at a remote monastery in the mountains to loving parents. Both served at the monastery, and she was brought up with the gods- told all her life that she was blessed due to her blood. Not all of the monks approved of Sera's parents, though she herself was seen as a blessing. A higher ranked monk named Brand helped to raise her as well, having taught her mother before her. When she was six however, everything changed. The monastery was attacked, and both of Sera's parents were killed. She herself was taken by a group called the Sancta Electi, and they left the monastery in ruins.
Sera was taken far from home, and used by the Electi. They were collecting aasimar children, hoping to awaken something in them, and as she grew she was trained to be a killer. As soon as she was old enough, experiments began on her and the other children. It made them strong, but at a cost. Some died during the process, and while Sera survived, she was changed permanently. Her hair went white like the others, and she was given incredible strength. She served for them for a long time, until one day she managed to escape through a stroke of luck. She ran as far as she could, afraid of what they would do once they found her.
As the years passed, Sera eventually met up with a group of travellers, and they were sent to save the world. On this quest, she met an oni named Ro, and the two quickly fell in love. By the time their quest was done, they were engaged to be married and expecting their first child. They returned to Sera's home and rebuilt, raising their family there. They love their child more than anything, and spent a long life living in peace with each other.

Sera's husband and life-long partner. She has never loved anyone else, and has happily had children with him. They have both grown and recovered together, and the loss of each other in old age is a pain greater than anything else.
Sera's parents were somewhat of forbidden lovers, Alma being a far higher rank than Lav. They loved each other in secret, no longer hiding when Alma became pregnant. They love their daughter and see her as a gift from the gods as a sign of their love.
Brand helped Sera rebuild the monastery, and has been a mentor and friend throughout her life. He had sworn to her parents to protect her, and has enjoyed watching her family grow. He is waiting for the day when Sera will be called to fight again.
