Stress Eating

When stressed or emotional, Serpentes have an extremely hard time keeping any food down and even the thought of eating will often make them feel ill. If they still attempt to eat food in this stressful time, it is highly likely they will throw the food up, causing their stomach acid to partly burn their throat on the way up, often leading to hospitalization if they are unlucky enough to get severe burns. Because of this, many Serpentes will avoid eating at all when stressed, causing those who have high stressed jobs often to be painfully thin, with the leading cause of death in those fields being starvation.

Large portions

The oddest thing about the Serpentes race when it comes to eating is the fact that a good number of them have a habit of eating their food in as few bites as possible. This has occasionally led other species to believe that they have the ability to unhinge their jaw, but this is not true. Rather, their lower jaw is not fused in the middle, causing them to be able to open their mouth extremely wide when inhaling food. It is not uncommon at a Serpentes party for Serpentes to challenge one another to an eating contest to see who can eat the fastest.

If they want to eat like other species they need to have utensils as their teeth are not easily capable of ripping food apart. If they attempt to it will most likely result in some of their teeth breaking making swallowing their food whole a better option.

Waist

Although they eat just as frequently as other species, the Serpentes do not defecate nearly as often as other Species. When they do need to relieve themselves it is often one large dump about once a week and is quite pungent, leading some Serpentes to have a specific location they go to every week to relive themselves as not to stink up others' homes. Some even turn this into a kind of ritual and will take their time getting everything out.

Drinking

Its possible for Serpentes to chug water, however, most prefer to sip liquids. They can easily suck water up into their mouths by flexing their cheeks making it quite an efficient way to drink. Although some Vulpes insist that Serpentes drink with the aid of their tongs, this simply isn’t true as their tongue is sheathed inside their mouths when they eat or drink.
