PROFILE
Natalie Clark is the youngest superhero in the world to ever get her license. Shortly after recieving it, though, her disillusionment with the system lead to her abandoning the role she had earned.
Throughout her journey, she's made contacts all over the world- one of the best superheroes in the world, criminal undergrounds, vampires, aliens, and the source of life itself. Through a rebellious spirit and a positive attitude, Natalie can get through basically anything and find the silver lining.
Despite her humanist approach, Natalie is quite logically and scientifically minded too. She's an expert on anatomy and ever curious, always looking for more answers to the world. She believes strongly in education for the people- only through that, can justice be served.

PERSONALITY

Natalie has always been naturally curious and smart, and since she's gotten into the science of everything, her hunger for knowledge has only grown. This goes hand in hand with how Natalie is quite observant, picking up on stuff most people might not. She makes sure her team is always kept up on information, and is often the first to pick up on certain situations.
Natalie has always been kind and sweet by nature, even at her worst. She showed care for not only the people and animals around her, but the systems too. Natalie is quite empathetic and caring at heart, wishing nothing but the best for her fellow sprites and human beings. She's quite willing to devote her life to making things better, and isn't shy about arguing her case.

Despite all the good in her, Natalie is not without her flaws. Often times, she pushes forward with a single goal in mind and an eyeroll to anyone who stands in her way. She believes herself very smart and capable, forgetting at times that there's places and moments for bombshells. This leads her to often be overly optimistic in her mindset. She believes strongly in there being a will and a way, when sometimes things are simply more complex. Her positive attitude can get her in trouble at times.
Natalie also cannot help herself- if she can do something, she will, and this leads to her neglecting various aspects of her life. Communication, self care, and her health are often on the chopping block if need be. She will give up anything for her goals, and that's often a cause of concern for not only her longevity, but the people around her.
STORY
THE ANTONOVICH ACADEMY
Upon the awakening of her power (or spark), Natalie was sent across the ocean to Florida, where she was enrolled in Antonovich Academy. Being 16 at the time, with her mother in the hospital due to the tumorous growths she'd accidentally inflicted on her, Natalie was not thrilled. This lead to a lot of early rebellion and detention as a student. Things changed when her mother died, leading to Natalie becoming an incredible student an eventually the youngest superhero to ever be granted a full license. During this time, she also became a sort of daughter figure to Dr. Evylyn Herd, one of the original Magnificent Seven.
Through her work, Natalie was exposed to some corruption in the superhero hiarchy. With the help of some soon to be friends, Natalie learned the truth of the matter: her spark was unique in its healing properties, and the academy had allowed her mother to die to keep her there. With her fellow students, she made a daring escape and left the school and all she knew behind.
THE VALLEY
Upon leaving the academy, Natalie found herself confused, scared, and depressed. Part of this was due to a spark affecting her, by someone named Laurant. Unknown to her, she had a "snake" inside her, shifting her thoughts, opinions, and emotions to his slowly over time. She felt a disconnect with herself and started feeling like she was going mad. A few months into becoming a fugitive, she also became addicted to a spark-altering drug called bliss, beginning to use and abuse it regularly. This lasted through until a fateful encounter on a mountaintop where she and her found family ended up getting arrested by Evylyn and one of her colleagues.
DEATH AND REBIRTH
With some manipulation on Natalie's part, and a lot of wistful thinking on Evylyn's, Natalie convinced her her memories where wiped by Laurant and his manipulations. Evylyn set Natalie up to cure her bliss addiction with a substance called neo-fuel, after some consultation with a therapist named Ellis. She agreed to the treatment, which ended up setting her power off. Her power ripped her own body phsyically apart, leading to her death.
Fortunately, Ellis turned out to be a vampire- a spark user who feeds off of other spark users. He brought her back, saving her life and mentoring her. Shortly thereafter, Natalie made plans to escape Evylyn and get back to her teammates to inform them that she's alive. It took a couple of months, but eventually she and the team all ended up back together. She had to abandon Evylyn again, and prayed that this will be the last time.
SPACE
After some shenanigans with murdering Laurant, nukes, and a volcano, Natalie and the red of The Magnificent Seven headed off to rescue Percy, a member of theirs who was on Mars. It took some disguises and convincing, but they managed to team up with a member of the original Mag 7, Damien, and boarded his space ship. In space, Natalie encountered a library being run on the moon, and the plights of the people running it. Still, she and her friends decided to push forward, hopefully reuniting with their final member.
Now, Natalie helps the search for Percy in hopes of bringing them home and out of the death cycle they're being subjected to.
RELATIONSHIPS

DYNAMIC
Natalie's relationship with her team is one of trust and love. She has a different and special bond built with each of the members, and usually is seen as the big sister or team mom. As healer, she feels extremely responsible for their safety, and is firm but sweet with them.
In response, her team puts their trust in her. The news of her death temporarily broke them, and the realization she was alive was the glue that brought them all back together. Without Natalie, the team struggles a good deal more with encounters, and Natalie finds it difficult to find balance without her team in turn. She takes her role in their lives seriously, and has been one to take charge and protect them.
HISTORY
Natalie met the rest of the Mag 7 due to their mutual attendance at Antonovich academy. Despite all being different ages, they all joined the same year, and went through trials and tribulations together. From the beginning, Natalie has been the leader of the kids who came to the academy while being under 18. Her spunky attitude and no fear of authority made her a prime troublemaker, which was both admonished and enabled by her team.
They've done nearly everything with each other- school, missions, tests, escaping, and some good old fashioned terrorism. Natalie suspects that they'll be doing much more for and with each other before they split ways- if they ever do.
FUN FACTS
- Natalie both participates in weed with Jirou, while participating in Percy's interventions against that same drug use.
- Natalie has no problem scolding her teammates, but will fucking end someone if they do.
- Her team was the reason she learned about queer identities and eventually came to the conclusion she's asexual.
- Natalie always has a moral surrounding her team. She will fight tooth and nail for them, and she's not ashamed about it.
Evylyn Herd

DYNAMIC
Natalie and Evylyn's relationship is, while very loving, also very toxic and codependent. Natalie wishes for a mother figure deeply, and Evylyn feels like she has a daughter in Natalie. This leads to each of them being willing to hurt each other in the journey to attempt to help each other.
Natalie trusts Evylyn wants the best for her, but she doesn't trust Ev's perception of what the best is. Still, Natalie knows there's a kindness in Evylyn worth saving. She sees her as someone who was taken advantage of as a traumatized child, and has a deep empathy for that. So she'll work to save Evylyn from herself- by force, if necessary.
HISTORY
Evylyn was assined Natalie's special mentor, and they quickly became each other's favorites. They got close to the point that Evylyn told her how she had accidentally killed her own baby moments after her birth. After Natalie's mother's death, she clung to Evylyn as a mother figure, seeking comfort and guidance.
Thir relationship changed substaintially after Natalie left the school. Evylyn began to try and find ways to convince her to come back, while Natalie searches for ways to free Evylyn from her societal contract. This has lead to heartbreak on both sides- and Natalie hopes that eventually she can break this cycle.
FUN FACTS
- Evylyn was going to name her child Rose, and Natalie's hero name was "Green Rose" for a portion of time.
- Their sparks are direct opposites of each other. Evylyn disintegrates organic matter while Natalie causes it to multiply.
- Evylyn has inspired Natalie to devote part of her life to the education of others.
- Evylyn has been described as "kind, but helpless." Natalie has taken her kindness and transformed it into something lifechanging.
Chloe Beauregard

Natalie and Chloe's relationship is built on the foundation of healing and togetherness. Chloe was the first to pull Natalie out of her slumps, and Natalie was the one who set Chloe free from Laurant. They love each other deeply and truly, Chloe being more protective over Natalie instead of letting her take on even more of a burden. There's pure respect and adoration there, nothing more or less.
Chloe inspires Natalie to love life, and motivates her to see the good in the world despite the pain she's had to endure. As an artist, she reconnects Natalie to her roots and brings her immense comfort. She's lead to an increase in Natalie's confidence and general attitude.
HISTORY
Chloe and Natalie were in the same year, actually being roommates. Chloe seemed to take an interest in Natalie early on, who in turn was curious but afraid to engage any further than conversation due to not having control over her spark. This all came to a head on Halloween night, where they shared their first kiss and began officially dating.
When Natalie left the school, Chloe chose to go with her. She believed in Natalie, but wanted to make sure she was going to be okay, too. Believing that Natalie was dead caused Chloe to spiral, leading her to start attempting revenge- until Natalie stopped her. Together, they conquered their inner demons, and have continued being steadily together.
FUN FACTS
- Natalie has history in watercolors and art, and Chloe was the first to bring that out of her after she got to the academy.
- Chloe's spark allows the controlling of ink, and the ability to make things out of her tattoos and pull them into reality. She does Natalie's tattoos due to this.
- Natalie thinks that out of every spark out there, Chloe's is the fucking coolest.
- Chloe is happily supportive of Natalie's polyamory, even wingmanning her.

Natalie is often approachable to both friends and strangers. She enjoys meeting people, and is usually quite casual and fun to speak to. She's got a kindness that can be felt, and is a good listener to any issues. She's also quite open and willing to all manner of physical affection. If Natalie is in a crowd, she's probably drawing the attention of a few people, attempting to get them passionate and riled up with her.
The downside to Natalie's demeanor is that she will absolutely start arguments if she hears someone say something she disagrees with. She can be hot headed, emotional, and aggressive in these arguments, leading to maybe not the best impression. She doesn't hesitate, though, and makes her displeasure known should she feel it's warranted.

Natalie currently smokes weed occassionally, but as a former bliss addict, she's mostly shaken off her affinity for substances.

Natalie's time as both a hero and an "advocate" have lead her to see many traumatizing situations. She manages to get through most of the time, however, mostly having a handle on it.

WATERCOLOR
Natalie has been studying watercolor since she was small, inspired by her mother’s works of art. Though she is most talented in landscapes, she often practices all sorts of things. She’s known for a cartoony but well rendered art style, her pieces having a storybook quality to them. She doesn’t intend to pursue art as a full-time job- it’s a relaxing, happy place for her.
GARDENING
Natalie’s spark lends itself well to gardening, but that and its practical use is only one of the reasons she does it. Sbe finds gardening a great way to connect with the Earth and with her source, and enjoys being a caretaker as the members of her team grow more and more independent. She puts the energy she wants to put into them into the plants, stopping herself from smothering them.

Natalie is a big enjoyer of video games, mainly sticking to puzzle games and games with hand-eye coordination. While getting enjoyment out of them, she likes when her mind is challenged and her skills are sharpening, too. She doesn’t play them often, but she indulges in binges from time to time.

Due to her own experiences and the experiences of the generations prior, Natalie wants to be able to free sprites from the system that makes them shackled as either villains or heroes. She thinks it’s rather disgusting that Sprites only have a few options in this world and seeks to change it so that Sprites can be allowed to exist in a way that’s safer for everyone.

Upon learning how sources can move to vessels, Natalie is determined to become the vessel and protector of the life source and all life source sparks. Essentially, she's slaying as mother nature.

Continuing the Cycle
Worse than failure is succeeding and turning out to be too messed up to be any good to the world. Natalie keeps herself pretty heavily in check.

- Natalie's design is meant to represent a lotus flower, as well as flowers and nature in general. Currently, she's taking on some physical attributes of a coral reef.
- Natalie does have spider fangs where her human fangs should be. They're pitch black.

Natalie is of average weight with some muscle in her back and shoulders.

Natalie's body shape is pretty rectangular. She's pretty straight up and down. As she gets older, she goes get a little flab on her tummy.

Natalie's eyes are slender and flat, along with being deep set.
HAIR LENGTH:
Natalie's hair when it's curly usually ends at around her mid back. When straight/wet, it's closer to her hips. She prefers to keep her hair longer, though she has dabbled with shorter styles in the past.

Natalie's usual hairstyle is slightly loose, with the back a bun that looks like a lotus flower.
EYE COLOR:
Natalie's eyes are a mix of a bright green and a bright pink that peaks in from the bottom of her irises.

Natalie's hair is naturally a light caramel color, but she tends to dye it, especially colors like teal and pink.
FRECKLES:
Natalie's freckles are color changing. Usually they stick to green and pink, but they can be any color on the rainbow.
PALETTE
Natalie tends to wear form fitting, sporty gear that usually invokes the idea of a modern, teenage rebellion superhero. She usually likes to accessorize her wardrobe with things like bomber jackets and chunky sneakers. Her usual clothing style has a lot of colors in it, bright greens, pinks, and teals. She's highly into interesting shapes and layers in her clothing.
For more casual wear, Natalie sticks with brightly saturated colors, but she switches styles to something more girlie. She usually likes wearing skirts, and would describe her personal style as "punk peacock". She likes to mix and match clothing that maybe shouldn't be worn together or was bought separately. She also keeps pouches and a backpack on her to carry her small amount of gear that helps her kick ass.

MOODBOARD
TRIVIA
The initial concept for Natalie was me making a "mean" character who turned out to be a loveable older sister.
I was told that the game was a "coming of age" tale, and I leaned really hard into it with her. She's inspired by a few people I knew IRL who seemed callous and cruel but who were going through it at sixteen.
Her being polyamorous was something I was discovering about her as she was discovering it!
Natalie is the longest running PC I've ever had. I've played her from October 2020 until today!
