CHARLOTTE REID

ROLE

SUPPORT

DIFFICULTY

Carr is a hero designated to work on closer distances. She can both heal and protect her teammates with her shield, and offer them a boost with her ultimate ability.

ABILITIES

BLASTER

While her gun acts like a proper blaster, she can charge it and shoot laser beams that deal more damage. If it hits the opponent, it deals electric damage until the beam runs out.

RESTORE

Her restoring system located in her mechanic arm allows her to heal both herself and teammates, though, for a small price; while healing, when the bar goes all the way down, she loses a little of her health.

SHIELD

Carr, with the help of her mechanic arm, can create a solid shield that can hold up to three people next to her.

SHIELD BARRIER

Carr's ultimate ability allows her to protect herself and her teammates with protective shield within a few meters ratio. She becomes immobile during this time, but she is protected as well.

"ALWAYS STRIVE TO BE THE BETTER VERSION OF YOURSELF."

Carr's story begins when she wakes up in a hospital bed with her memory completely wiped out and bandages covering her whole left arm. She does not remember anything from her past life, nor what happened to her.
Recruited by Talon and under dr Moira O'deorain's constant supervision, she becomes a walking experiment - a device healing with her own body, using a mechanism implanted into her left arm. Extremely weak and confused at first, with constant training and improvements to her gear, she became stronger and more independent. She was granted a title of combat medic and forced to participate in terrorist missions, risking her own life in order to heal her teammates.
Years later, once her health condition became stable to the point that she needed no assistance nor supervising any more, she discovered the truth about herself with Sombra's help. She learned that she has a very rare genetic disorder that affects her white blood cells. It constantly overdrives her organism and forces it to regenerate, even if no damage is done to her body, which further damages her organs. In effect, she can quickly heal from any injuries with no visible scars left, but is prone to organ failure and further complications. There is no cure for this illness and in effect, every person bearing this disorder is destined to die. Dr O'deorain saw a potential in it and ordered to abduct every currently alive person bearing this disorder to research it further. Carr arrived to Talon with only one month left to live, and quickly became Moira's success, being the only one who survived her invasive experiments and tests.
Carr, now knowing the truth and embracing her reality, ran away from Talon's headquarters with Sombra's help and hid in Poland for a few months, working in hospitals and dealing with the outbreak of Second Omnic Crisis. During her stay there, she met Aquarius, an ex Overwatch member, who also traveled around the world to help wherever he could. They immediately clicked together and decided to join forces. Now, they sail around the world together and help people in need, trying to rebuild the world.
Eventually, Carr went through the last, most invasive procedure to her body and transplanted her already damaged hand to a mechanic arm, that improved her condition drastically. She discovered her past and accepted her new reality, trying to make the best of it.
