Sodden is simple minded, mostly forgotten by her beloved goddess. She still preforms her duties, despite being unable to check in with Murren as easily as she did in the past. Sodden is capable of seeing through the eyes of select fish. The power is unfortunately limited and she isn't capable of controlling said fish, making it annoying to work with in most cases. Most of her time is spent as a silent observer, watching Murren's people and even those who worship other deities. It is rare for her to interact with any mortal, even if she may want to. Fish tend to flock around her, which would be annoying if she didn't enjoy their taste so much. Sodden is very simple minded, her thoughts stifled and restricted by the powers of her goddess. She lacks the ability to see Murren's actions as cruel, or even recognize the misfortune and solitude casted on her by her goddess

First life as a common royal

Sodden was born when the world was still prosperous, given to her parents by the sun goddess Eaden. Back then, she was named Skye. She was an intelligent, thoughtful, and bright girl, growing up in a lush, green environment. Celebrations over the smallest occasion were commonplace with Eaden, making Sodden very social and bold as a result. After the death of Eaden, she struggled like the rest of her species. The first few years were an adjustment, death was new to the world. And in the coming years, food wasn't as plentiful ether. Sodden was determined to ensure the safety of her species, and began working with others to secure a future. Farming came natural to Tiller's, who were magically entuned to plants, and able to influence them to varying degrees. Sodden took special care to learn from them beside a royal named Ryder. Sodden was a visitor to the tiller's territory, a stretch of land heavy with nature, that it is roughly the size of Alaska. The snow had not come yet, but it was still very cold outside the tiller territory, but here the ground always seemed to have a bit of warmth. Temperatures were still cold, but nowhere near as bad as it was outside of their territory. Sodden had valuable insight on the world outside this vast landscape, and she was able to find a large number of tillers who were eager to assist their smaller cousins. Together they were able to cultivate crops that could grow in hard ground and survive without warmth. Now all Sodden had to do was spread the word, Ryder going with her, and a handful of tillers spreading out to do the same.

With farming, sodden was able to feel secure again. Her people falling into a new routine and being able to provide somewhat adequately for themselves. It wasn't perfect, but she felt secure enough to start a family with her partner, Ryder. Ryder was also born during the time Eaden was alive, that paired with his eagerness to help her in her goals made the two fast friends. Together, they had a strong daughter, that her and Ryder both adored. Life was comfortable for several years, until the cold came even harder, and the first snow fell. The new crops were again struggling. Slowly farming became less and less viable. Snow took over more and more of their land, creeping from the outer boarder. Eating Eaden's remaining wildlife became commonplace again, despite the Tiller's objections. Sodden lost her family, and purpose in this time. though the details are unknown to even her. It was as if she woke up from a fog one day, unsure of where she was and lacking any memory from the past several years. The circumstances left her confused, and she sought refuge with her new friends. A small group of unbrak who were in possession of a strange book, a book that promised the impossible in exchange for a limb and a life. She had safety within this group, but existence for majority of the population was difficult. Sodden was once again desperate to find a new means of survival for her small and vulnerable race of unbrak. She saw Hope in Murren, another Royal in their group with great intelligence. Murren wasn't afraid to break the old goddess's way, despite the strong pushback from the Tiller race. Still, Murren stayed strong with her convictions and introduced fishing as a new way to obtain food. Murren's ideas of killing the few remaining creatures from Eaden was taboo and abhorrent to many, but those who resisted would at best suffer from hunger, and at worst... perish. Sodden saw a new future for her species with Murren, and when she was asked to lay her life down to aid in Murren achieving godhood, she did not hesitate to say yes. Murren was offering a future without hunger, and promised that she would revive Sodden with the power she would obtain.

Daily life

Eating, napping, floating aimlessly, and watching the hard working fishermen are all in a days work for Sodden. She knows Murren has little interest in hearing her reports, after all, the goddess is already aware of everything going on within her sea... But what else is she to do? So, Sodden watches, and if she feels like it, helps the fishermen when they have made a big enough offering to the sea. Sodden has saved several cubs from drowning, taking them to back to their parents ship, or to shore if the ship has sank. She enjoys watching the drama of a good shipwreck, or of a mutiny from an ornery crew. However, such occasions are rare, so most of her days are very mundane.
