Quvala

For a one-shot testing out the features of One D&D. The lore of Nine Hells is not my brainchild, but rather comes from "Mordenkainens' Tome of Foes".

Quvala is a battle cleric in the armies of archdevil Levistus. Levistus has been imprisoned in ice by Asmodeus for unknown crimes and tasked to forge deals with desperate mortals as part of his punishment. Quvala's lived in the wartorn icy wastelands of Stygia, one of the Nine Hells, all her life, with the understanding that when she becomes experienced enough she'll upgrade from fighting in skirmishes against the forces of Levistus's rivals to fighting in the Blood Wars against demons. Her clerical magic stems from the womans' unwavering belief in efficiency and order, which she views as something that elevates devils and mortal races alike over creatures of chaos, such as demons. Quvala knows little of her ancestry. The tieflings pale, cool skin is a testament to her bloodline going back to the very same Ruler of Stygia she's spent her life serving, but the rest of her ancestry is likely comprised from low-level denizens of Hell with some humans mixed in for good measure. Though not a devil herself she's taken over their quirks, such as heartless efficiency and always keeping her word.

Recently she has been sent on an errand into the Material Plane, to act as the servant and bodyguard to Alxian de Malatesja, a wizard who'd called out to Levistus for aid whilst in mortal peril. The reason for the archdevil to get so hands-on with this particular prayer is that, if the wizard survives for long enough he would go on to unwittingly commit acts that'll greatly benefit the Nine Hells. As we know lvl 1 wizards in D&D are basically made of wet tissue paper so Quvala has her work cut out for her.
