I never wanted to do any of this... why me...?

Hiro grew up mostly alone after her impoverished parents sold her to the Fountains due to the shiny red horns that connected her to the prophecy. She ran away to the sea when she was older but struggled to survive on her own and ended up on various pirate crews who exploited her. Lacking general education and thinking this was her only option, she was lead to believe this was just how the world worked. Now she lives in a small coastal town filled with Lagopi, where she is teased as the town bike but is comfortable because the town is small enough for her to avoid any extra danger her horns might bring her.

...so she thought. But fate is fate, and eventually her responsibility as a hero will catch up to her.

Once again being rushed out onto a boat with another cast of unfamiliar heros, Hiro spent a lot of her hero's journey in the "refusal of the call" phase. She had never fought before and doubted her abilities. She often cried and felt unsure about being heroic, especially when there was danger. She questioned why she should risk her life for people who didn't know or like her. At one point, she even considered giving up completely.

It wasn't until she had her baby that she realized why heroes existed. She had a reason to live now. Hiro wanted to make sure the world that her daughter, the party, and everyone else she cared for lived in would change for the better. She was finally thinking outside of just herself, and finally had the confidence and bravery to fufill the prophecy she was born into.

She gave her life for this cause, of course, but not in vain. Her daughter grew up happy and healthy and had babies of her own. The crew she had loved so much had helped raise her in her abscence, and the world recovered from the darkness that once filled it. Hiro was loved and cared for more than she realized, and that love and care was brought back into the world via her and her party's sacrifice. The prophecy continues.
