CW: Character Death, Depression

Indra was the first born of his parents, and he was always a fairly subdued child. He seemed to lack any sense of urgency in all but the most pressing of circumstances, and preferred to simply sail through life at a leisurely pace. It became a problem as he grew older, and his parents did their best to try and help Indra find some sort of passion or motivation, but to no avail. The only one who could spur him on was his younger sister, Iris, who seemed effortlessly able to rouse Indra for whatever she had in mind. But his sister aside, Indra simply didn’t take interest in most things. Not adventuring, not romance, not creating, nothing. He simply preferred to do the bare minimum. After all, it wasn’t as if he was hurting anyone.

He took more interest in Iris’s life than his own. He got up to support her when she married her husband, and quickly came to adore his niece when she was born, visiting frequently to play with her and even putting in a little more effort in his day to day life so that he could bring her little gifts and trinkets. However, the sudden passing of his sister threatened to hurl him into a deep depression. Before he could succumb completely to his emotions, he found himself pulled by the need to look after his niece, Himawari. By extension, he found himself somewhat looking after Himawaris father. Indra hadn’t gotten particularly close to Iris’s husband, Syn, before. However their common suffering in Iris’s loss, and their desire to support Himawari, ended up bringing the both of them closer.

In an effort to finally be in a position to support people who may rely on him, Indra finally began to seek out meaningful work. While adventuring had always been a bit beyond him, by chance he happened to end up assisting the Rescue Team called Lands End. It was, somewhat ironically, the steel type metang called Benipé who earnestly recruited him. He began working with them, starting to work his way up from being the rookiest rookie there ever was. He had a lot of leveling up to do.
