Latte
Latte is an octoling native to Octo Valley who resides in Inkopolis Square! He used to be an Octarian soldier in charge of trade deals with Salmonids, whom he admired more than either inklings or Octarians because of their lifestyle. At some point he favored their side and spent more time with them. He also was Applicant 10,007 in the Deep Sea Metro. Nowadays he’s retired and recovering from the experience, spending time in his shared apartment with Luciel and doing fun things that he’s never had the opportunity to try.

Nabi • Adoptive child
He felt drawn to Nabi out of concern, since she seemed rather lonely for a kid. Latte then brought food for her too and eventually the two got close enough to visit each other. He doesn’t mind encouraging her out of her comfort zone and helping her with chores.
Luciel • Close friend?
The two of them met at Spawning Grounds, Latte used to spy on him until he got fed up with Luciel’s attitude towards Salmonids. They made an unspoken deal to spend time together since they enjoyed each other’s presence.
Hortensia • Disowned sister
Hortensia and Latte were born from the same tentacle, so they’re technically siblings. However they weren’t close in the familial sense, they were more so coworkers. Hortensia disapproved of Latte not wanting to fight for the army and the two had a fallout after, but Latte hopes to reconnect with her some day.
