Growing up, he lived in a nice, kind family, surrounded by people who would go lengths to help someone in need without thinking twice. As he grew up, he started exploring himself, discovering his love for the library and also men. He started spending less time at home, usually staying after school to help his friends, teachers, or lazing at the library, and when he was old enough got a part-time job there. He met his current bf at work, seeing him struggle to find a book about taking care of kittens. He still keeps in touch with his parents, who have supported him through his life journey. He plans to get an English or similar degree in college to work full time at the library. On weekends he visits an old people home, helping bring happiness back into their lives, also sometimes helping out at the local humane society.
He's often described as easy to get along with, caring a lot about the people in his life even if they've done him wrong in the past. He stays positive through troubled times. He's very well known in his town, being the ray of sunshine in a dark room. He takes pride in giving back to his community, but won't hesitate to intervene in a conflict.
He enjoys hobbies such as painting and crocheting, being outdoors with the plants and animals, and hanging out with his friends. He works hard to pursue his dreams, and hopes to help those in his life also accomplish their goals.
In an alternate universe, he has the ability to manipulate light. His most common trait is changing the wavelength, so for example changing visible light (380-700nm) to x-rays (0.03-3nm).
