Nathari Hirarm

Nathari was the only one to survive in her litter of 3 Rathis cubs. After her two brothers died, her father, Tom, invested all his hopes to keep his legacy going in her. As soon as she began walking, her father drove her hard into training to be the next Master Hunter for their city of Felippe.

While this did a lot to help to eschew her from the racism she would've faced growing up in the city, it couldn't hide all of it. Despite her father's prestigious position, as the only free Rathis family on Ethyrsa, Nath was often looked down upon. Other children would avoid her, other adults chastise any moment she spent in the city rather than working with her father. The only relief from this treatment was when she could spend time from her only reliable companion, her little sister Klivia. The only other cub born before their mother died. Despite Kliv being somewhat neglected by their father in favor of Nathari, the two sisters bonded very closely as being each other's only friends.

This, sadly, would not last. Any time Nathari was off training in hunting, her sister snuck to that lab. As accepting as the lab was, when it caught fire, the one and only invokist known to go there was quickly blamed. And their father would not stand the accusations on his family's name. Without hesitation he turned his own daughter in and Nathari found herself without the only thing she had besides hunting and loneliness. In little more than a year, Nath found the situation intolerable to continue. Gathering up everything she learned about survival in the wild, she stole a gun from her father and ran away in hopes of rescuing her sister from whatever damned fate the dynamists in prisons where doomed too.

Over years Nathari tracks her sister from prison to prison, even finding help along the way. After a grueling hunt very unlike that which Nath was trained for, she finally thinks she's determined location of her sister. The story begins with the plan Nath and her new companion, Troy, make to raid the prison and break out Klivia and the other dynamists like Tion.
