✦ Backstory

Jazz and Clyde both grew up together in an orphanage. They quickly became good friends and formed a strong bond. Although the two were not anti-social, they preferred each other's company over the company of others, so they weren't outcasts by any means, they just liked being together. At the age of 12, both of them escaped the orphanage and started living on the streets. They took whatever job they could find which was hard with machines taking most of the jobs they'd usually be qualified to fill, so sometimes the two resorted to stealing to survive. Both were very light on their feet and stealthy, their old trusty skateboards help them with their crafty escape, so you can say being thieves was their occupation. Life on the street was very tough for them but they were certian that together they could make it through.

By the time they were 16, both men became avid skaters and would enter skating contests to earn some extra money on the side. They also had a reputation for tagging walls and pranking Pigs, so the street life wasn't always so bad, although they do miss having a warm meal and a comfortable bed to sleep in every once in a while.

As they grew, they caught the attention of smaller gangs who saw their skating skills beneficial to their crews, so they would work for gangs in exchange for a cut of the profit which eventually landed them on Tinba's radar who decided to track them down and make them a deal they can't refuse. The two would work as delivery boys for Tinba's network, in exchange, they would make so much money they would never have to sleep out in the cold again. And to top it off, they would get brand new high tech skateboards, matched with state of the art shoes that would connect them to the Skateboard's system, making the skates turn to hoverboards as well as keeping them from falling off no matter what.

Of course, they took the deal, and things only got better from there. As time went on, Jazz and Clyde started viewing Tinba as a father figure, even referring to them as 'dad' while they called Guy 'pops', and the feeling was mutual, as Tinba and Guy saw Jazz and Clyde as the kids they never had. So now the fellas got the homes the never got to have as kids, parent figures, and a whole lot of money.

If only there wasn't an impending doom threatning all that happiness.
