About

Aiko was born and raised in Konoha by her loving father and mother! Her father was a rather powerful nin who took many missions while her mother was the head doctor at the hospital for nin. Aiko grew up more with her mother, which led her to learn more about medicine and healing than actual fighting. She held her father in high regards and loved him very dearly - every moment with him was special. He inspired her to want to become a ninja instead of a medic, where she naturally blossomed. Her father died when she was nine by drowning in an enemy's water jutsu.

Of course, Aiko was strong and chose to remember the good of her father instead of grieve endlessly. She pursued her ninja career tenfold, and was rewarded for her efforts when an Iwagakure bird, a bearded vulture, happened upon her and more or less chose Aiko to be her partner. Aiko was placed on Team 14 with Kanna and Yoshikazu, under the teacher Yukio. From there on out, Aiko proved to be both an amazing nin and medic, as well as a huge pain in the ass.

Aiko becomes a jonin eventually, where she ends up stationed in Suna to help their medical nin and hospital staff reach Konoha's level.

Design Notes

• She has a small scar under her left eye.
• Her falconry glove is on her right hand. It’s useless though, as Sanyu will usually go for Aiko’s shoulders instead.
• Crop tops. All day, every day. She doesn’t care if it’s in the negative degrees, she will be showing off her abdomen.
• Aiko’s hair is a constant mess. Untameable, always.

Trivia

• Aiko's first crush was Sakura, one of her best friends, and to her adulthood, she still finds Sakura makes her heart beat fast..
• The worst duo is Aiko and Kiba - they are best friends with no limitations to pranks and trouble.
• After the shinobi war, Aiko has lasting damage that forces her to become a stronger nin. She loses hearing in her left ear, as well as some of the sight in her left eye.
• Aiko's bird companion, Sanyu, holds a mental link with her. They bicker a lot.
• Alcohol is something she loves. She's a loud and wild drunk.

Relationships

Kankurō [ partner ]

In the beginning, Aiko and Kankurō did not get along. They met at the exams, bickered and harassed each other, and had a weird energy after their villages allied. Fortunately, they eventually got over it and easily became best friends despite the distance. It wasn't until after the war that Kankurō and Aiko unfortunately realized that they like-liked each other.

Yuudai [ son ]

Yuudai is Aiko's first child. Yuudai is a huge mama's boy, and looks up to his mother like she's a legendary sanin herself. Aiko loves Yuudai just as much, and worries a lot about his health, since he was born prematurely and suffered as a baby. She's very protective of him.

Nobuko [ daughter ]

Nobuko is Aiko's daughter, and almost an exact replica of her mother in terms of attitude. Nobuko listens to Aiko, but will fight and bicker over the smallest things just to be stubborn. Aiko cares deeply for her daughter, just like she cares for Yuudai, and is just as protective of the spitfire.

Takisha [ daughter ]

Takisha is Aiko's youngest daughter, and took up the life of a medic. She is not a nin, but instead is content to work in a civilian setting. She mentors under her mother, but does not receive special treatment as her mother's student. She is loved dearly by her family and respected even if she did not become a nin like the other kids.
