Runaway Minetrain is the oldest Coaster at Alton Towers. Located away in Katanga Canyon, Minetrain is a bit of a hermit. People tend to forget he exists.

Runaway Minetrain has quite a childish personality. He loves trains (autism) and loves saying the word "choo-choo!" (autism). He loves Italian foods such as pizza and pasta, and frequently has them for dinner.
Despite being 31, an age generally considered decently young by human standards, all the other coasters treat Minetrain like a wise old man.

When Minetrain first spawned, so did a jungle. Being just a toddler, he was raised by the jaguars inhabitting the area.

ReleaseWhen Katanga Canyon opened to the public, as did Runaway Minetrain. Somehow, the young boy quickly got his act together and became a competent kiddie-coaster.

2004In 2004, Minetrain's Stagnant-Age and Actual-Age (12 years old) finally synced up and he started aging normally.

2006In the 2006 season (14 years old), Minetrain was running as normal until he accidentally fell over and broke his leg, completely snapping it in half. Minetrain was inactive until the 2007 season due to his injury.

2023At the start of the 2023 season, Minetrain (aged 31) took his first bath since The Flume's closure in 2018. He thought it was pretty good.
