Profile

MKT-000 is a prototype combat android. He is powered by a crystal core embedded in his chest, which allows him to use magic like any living person. 000 is the first design of his type to be created and tested, so his limits and longevity are currently unknown. His tattoos and sigils act as mobile casting circles, which allows him to use spells without other devices (such as a grimoire, staff or wand). Currently he is on loan for field testing, which is a less messy way of saying the lab that made him engages in paid mercenary work.

It's been noted that he is able to see magical entities that easily hide themselves from human eyes, such as fae and other-folk, who are normally only visible to magically inclined humans or humans who have "the sight". It's possible he may be able to see spirits and ghosts as well, but this is somewhat debated by the lab's staff.

He has also picked up several human like behaviors, seeming to appreciate beauty in the world around him. 000 sketches flora and fauna he encounters on his travels, and some of the fae and other strange creatures he is able to see as well (not all of them have been identified).

-----

The name "Raziel" was given to him by Mor, an entity met on one of his field testing trips to the frozen north. He now insists on going by it or "Raz" as opposed to his serial number.

Unbeknownst to his handlers, Mor or Morozko is the god of winter, and has taken a keen interest in their project due a certain component they used to create the machine.

Although Raz is stated to be a combat android in much of the paperwork as well as a test of magic manipulation, the true reason for his creation lies in the search for immortality. Only the project's leader knows this, as he intended to test if it was possible to bond a soul to an artificial body in order to outrun death. In order to do so, he found an unwilling participant, one who would become the prototype so the scientist didn't have to risk his own life.

Raziel is not a machine that gained sentience through magic (although everyone around him believes that including himself), but a soul bonded to a new body in a traumatic fashion. The process caused him to lose all memories of his previous life, leaving a "blank slate" for the science team to work with.
