Seaweed Salad, at first glance, is cold, incompetent, unconfident, quiet, and offputting. And once you get to know him, that's still true. He is not good at outwardly expressing emotions and only talks when spoken to. He is often on the sidelines, doing his own thing. He is non competitive and has fun in turf wars, though he doesn't show it outwardly.

Backstory

THIS IS UNCANON TO OCTO EXPANSION

Its like his life started at the deepsea metro, he woke up one day there and its all hes ever known. he has no memory of the octarian regime or anything. he meets tartar and basically begs for his life , which tartar accepts at the expense of his free will. salad is then forced to help tartar in iradicating the other octolings or else he will be blended too. hes made to be like a false sense of security to the other octolings and vouche for tartar.

THEN!!!! perch and mako come along, and he's assigned to "help" them through the metro. mako and perch rlly dont get along at this point. like they fight and hold each other back and its really rough to watch. eventually, theres a shooter level that u have one try on, you have to hit a balloon in the center of a ton of targets just rightt o destroy all the targets. mako and perch are fighting over who gets the first shot and accidentally fires the trigger on salad dead right in the head. salad sustained head trauma to the point of slight memory loss and a complete personality shift. he then realizes that he cant stay in the metro any longer and turns on tartar, actually trying to help both perch and mako leave the metro.
