the katana sword in his belt/sash was a gift from Rinarime. Rinarime will often "borrow" it to practice as well as during fights.
Goes by the nickname "Ha". can take the form of a dog.

Was the heir of the dog spirit 300 years ago when he was still fully human, as well as the only heir of his generation that wasn't sacrificed. Although Rinarime stopped Vratra from being sacrificed, the great dog spirit and other great spirits targeted by the great cat spirit feared it would strike at them again, and so Rin, Vratra, and siblings of the murdered heirs were frozen in time to awaken 300 years later in beast form with orders to protect that generations heirs.
