They told you it was okay. That you were important. You were a child, barely out of school. Eyes wide and hopes high.
Your first mission was unexpected. It was quick, it was merciless, it was exactly what they had told you it would be. It made you want to puke.
It was exactly what you expected, but now everything felt cold. You stared at your hands, disgusted with what they had just done.
You left, ran away. Supposedly you escaped..
Your 100th mission felt like the same old thing, your soul frozen, your hands cold, you choke out the life of the vessel that tried to escape.
It's what is needed. That's what you are told.

- Used to be an assasin. Lost her sight during a mission and was retired. Is now partially blind.

Maggie was revealed to be a mad hatter at a young age, as her tendency was a rare one with alot of potential she was practically taken away to be trained to become an assasin. She was groomed to see herself as a weapon, a tool, something to be used for the benefits of others. During a mission she was hurt and blinded, which caused her to have to be retired and she was allowed to go back home, the ghosts of her past following suit.
Madgelyn quickly joined The Church of the Conjunction and became a firm believer after she arrived home. The church saw her potential and continued what the goverment didn't, grooming her and continuing to instil the belief of her being a tool to be used into her so she could grow up to be a tool and a loyal leader to the church.
She is now a faithful leader, a public figure that's beloved by the people of her country and a well known priest. She often travels to perform rituals and hunt down escaped vessels of the conjunction.
She is completely unaware of her actions being wrong, while she knows deep inside that something is off she has been groomed for so long that she is just incapable of seeing it at all.
By casting hallucinations of peoples deepest fears or desires she can send others into panic attacks. People who have managed to get out of it have described it as feeling like theyre "going mad."
Being around her whilst shes in a good mood can passively heal people. She can sometimes concentrate this to heal deeper wounds.
She can cast a spell on someone to change their mood. Depending on the person this can either be good or bad. To the ones shes close with this feels natural, to the ones she isn't while it works it has been described to "feeling off, like pretending to be happy or sad when you aren't."
