Bruxa

"The night is getting dim."

They rest during the day.
You can ask them questions. They'll answer, but their answer may leave you with more questions than before. Their name is Bruxa. Sometimes they're a girl, sometimes they're a boy, and oftentimes they're not quite either. They're passing through, or stopping for a nap. Maybe they'll play with you, if you ask. They're an excellent finder in hide-and-seek. They won't say where they're from, nor where they're going.
They have a sweet tooth, and love candy and fruit. They may try other things, but find trouble with foods that are too "created". They were offered macaroni and cheese, once. They ate one single macaroni and declared it delicious, but said that the rest was "far too much!" and that they couldn't eat another bite.

When they are not resting, they move.
Once the sun has set, they'll tell you they have to go. You can't come with them. They walk into the night, walking in an eerily straight line if you bothered to keep track. They don't turn around. They don't come back. They don't stop, not as long as the sky is clear and uncluttered. If the sky should cloud over, they will wait. If illuminated by man-made lights, they will freeze. When the light goes out or turns away, they will continue.
If the light stays still along with them, they will wait all the way into the day, and then into the next night. The light won't work the next night, when they leave.

It's not safe to follow them.
They hold no ill will, but they will not stop. They don't seem to tire. You do not share their store of energy, and you will tire. They still will not stop if you collapse in the wilderness. You shouldn't follow.
