Personality

River is a survivalist and wanderer. He is fircely independent but very thoughtful. He is often comfortable in his own company and often can leave his gang for days at a time, although he always returns with gifts and things to help their buisness.

He is not easily frightened and can be reasuring to have around in times of danger, being able to quickly stratigize a way out of the situation. He can be very good company when hes in the mood and enjoys playing music for people or showing them card tricks (he carries an old pack of tattered tarot cards he found a long time ago) or just telling them interesting facts about the plants and wildlife around them, being particularly fond of birds

As a wolf he is fully aware of his surroundings, he never attacks people and uses this form as a tool to hunt. He can change to and from the form whenever he wishes

Backstory

River was born as a werewolf (based on the Werewolves of Ossory) to a Indigenous mother and an Irish father, the pair were wanderers who travelled often and never really staying in one place for too long. River always appriceated this lifestyle as he enjoys nature and seeing new places. His parents eventually settled down and then a couple of years later, River decided it was time for him to start his own journey. He still frequently writes to them and sends them presents

As he arrived in Blackwater, months later he stayed in a saloon for a while. While there he cheated at Poker to get some extra money to save up for some guns, upon finding out, the regulars chased him out, although, he successfully stole the money. River lost them by hiding in Florences moonshine wagon in wolf form amongst the bottles, only suffering a couple of light wounds and bruises from the fight. Florence, thinking he was just a lost dog took him to Claude. River was patched up by him then revealed the next morning that he is infact, human. Jack insisted he should stay around to repay his debt which River agreed on, not wanting to owe anything to them and appriceating the help he recived, plus he was curious about the gang

A couple of weeks later River was sent to drive the wagon and to help Claude going into a dangerous area where a local bear had been terriorising a small village. When the bear attacked Claude river was able to fight the bear off but suffered a wound to his face from its claws. He then took claude home after realising he was still breathing to get help. He then wittled claude a small trinket of a bear as a joke. They concidered the debt repaid for River returning Claude home. River decided he wanted to stay around as he had come to settle in with them and concider them friends

Present Day

He has been with the gang for little over a year and has stayed around to help wherever he can. He still often leaves but now occasionally has a tag along such as Jack or Beau. He is developing feelings for Jack he is still figuring out how to navigate around.

Trivia

He always tends to get his hat shot or knocked offand he can never seem to actually keep it on, his hat is full of holes but he begrudingly wears it anyways

A lot of the weapons he owns (or just anything made of wood) tend to have small things carved into them like animals or leaves, its a hobby river always enjoys. He says it helps clear his mind, he just has a tentancy to customize things to make them his own

He is a survivalist and enjoys leaving for days at a time to be in his own company. He always brings a ton of berries and herbs home for florences moonshine, he doesnt drink alcohol but enjoys finding the ingredients

Has a very good sense of smell, it comes in handy during bounty missions

Loves his horses and often sneaks them extra treats and sugar cubes. He finds it calming to brush their hair
